I only get $10 dollar credit back.
My plan is exactly what i wrote down.. i plan to get the ihpone4 once it becomes avaialble.. but FIDO is retarded.. they dont have a que up for the ihpone 4.. unlike bell i believe.. you can drop $50 bucks at bell and be in line.. while fido is a first come first serve, may come tmr or 2 motnhs from now bull shit.

if I've been running on a monthly plan + addons for years, and I finally wish to go on a 3 year contract for an iphone4.
But how do I speak to a retentions rep? Would I call Fido and ask about the iphone4 and the plans I want?
And if I don't hear what I want, I tell them to transfer me to the retentions department to sign a 3yr contract?

I also brought up the $150 porting credit that they are offering to existing fido customers.
Also for rogers say that you or someone in your family works for "_____" and that you are eligible for their epp plan (40% off)
tell them you would like to stay with them
- its easier than getting everything switched
- "loyalty" towards fido (hahaha)
you also have more leverage if your willing to renew a contract (keep that in mind)

question: ill be leaving vancouver for about a year and i want to keep my phone number...i called fido and they said the only option is if i pay a minimum fee of $10/month, then ill be able to keep it.
does it matter if ive been a long time customer? somehow i can get them to freeze the account till i get back?
long shot...but any answers would be great

I believe that $10/mo reservation only works for up to 6 months.

I was recently on a trial for an add-on which somehow removed my caller ID and I couldn't display numbers for a month. I called in to cancel my add-on and told them about the caller ID and they gave me credit back for the caller ID, AND fix the issue.
I tried it again, same thing, can't display any numbers. I called in again and they troubleshooted it, same thing, won't work.
Anyone think it's possible for me to use this as a bargaining tool for retention purposes?

Are the $30 6Gb data still Canada-wide? I am using my 604 number in Ontario.
I tried searching online but nothing is coming up. Don't really want to wait for the Fido CSR to pick up the phone...

I basically got the same plan as you except the flex data plan (Retention wouldn't allow a flex data plan) for $22.50/month for a 2 year plan. I'm still trying to negotiate for an Iphone 4.
