crap, i just realized I put my original post in the Rogers retention plan thread. It was meant for Fido I was wondering if anyone has gotten the data flex plan since December 1? I was contemplating it for the last week or so, and yesterday (December 8th) was told by various reps on the phone that I could get it. So I went out and bought out my old contract, got the iPhone and signed a 3 year deal. I had to call FIDO again to get data and then they tell me flex data isn't an option anymore! The lowest I could get was $25 for 500mb. I never would have bothered buying out my old contract if I had known flex data wasn't even an option anymore :@ |

i believe fido has online chat, but you have to wait for the reps to go online and be available http://www.fido.ca/web/page/portal/Fido/GCT_ContactUs right in the middle is a live chat option/instructions |
Hmmm I have never heard of that option but it does sounds pretty cool! However, I'm not sure how much success you will have at getting a better plan as everything will be documented and you don't have that 1 on 1 personal connection with the person you're dealing with. |
i was just on the fido website, and just notice they brought back something like the old cityfido 40, but they added unlimited text messages as well for 50 dollars |

always make sure you get a reference number for whatever you agree on. |
I did a search on www.howardforums.com and it looks like Rogers and Fido are not matching the promo's from wind and mobilicity. |
Question: Is it true that due to recent policy changes with Fido, all new retention deals with voice and data plans cost at least $50, and you cannot receive more credits than the value of your voice plan? |

PISSSED so august i signed up for iphone 4 and got the 6GB data with $10 credit my plan was under $50 back in november i wanted to try out a blackberry so i switched to the blackberry data 6GB option (same price) and when i got my invoice in December, i lost my $10 credit.. i called in to see what the fuck was up and they were like they have a new policy in place where no plan can be under $50 and the system wont let me enter the $10 credit in the system and when i modified my plan i also lost that option so basically im paying $10 more.. moral of story dont modify ur plan.fuckkk i didnt fukn know. thought once u signed a contract it was intact |

Yah I mentioned that I signed a 3 year contract for the price we agreed on And they countered by saying I breached the contract by changing the data from iPhone to blackberry I find it pretty ridiculous when they say the system won't allow them to add the 10 credit I'll call again tomorrow Quote:
