Right now I'm on the $25 retention plan but I want to add flex data for $10 and get the iphone 4s. Is that even possible? The rep brought up the whole $50 min requirement in order to qualify but it seems that people are able to bypass it. He said people who have a $35 plan with the iphone 4s (retention plan + flex data) must have been penalized in some way, but I don't know if that's true. My family has been with Fido since 1999

just got off retention with Fido too, and wow, customer service today was unbelievably bad. The woman I was talking to had a Singaporean/Malaysian accent didn't really seem like she knew what she was doing

It was possible with a very generous CSR rep but not sure about now, all the plans have gotten more expensive.

fucking rediculous! they do document their ref# each time you talk to them but that bitch didnt put the deals she gave me for 6gb and only the 500mb. i asked if they record all calls and the guy said yes and when asked if they can go to that call i had on oct. 11 they said it is only for quality assurance? i asked to talk to the manager but he said "sir all the retention plans were documented on here and there is no offer for 6gb with $55." the threat to cancel does not work as he transfered me to cancel my contract lawl. when i was being transfered i just hung up.

i dont know what to do now, should i just take the $50 plan and negotiate with them after a year or so for more data? so upset!!!!

they wont give me 6gb plan either lol
i told them if they can get it down to 500mb for $50 or $55 for 6gb ill sign up a new contract right away now im on hold...

it's not possible to get an iphone 4s without a data agreement of 25$ or more being the 500mb option or more data, and the total 50$ requirement. But there is a way out you can sign up for the 500mb plan get them to credit you 20-25$ for that month, cancel the data agreement for a penalty of $200 with and sign up for flex data, that way you get the iphone 4s and flex data. (i've done this before on rogers but for a 100$ cancellation fee instead)

btw your plan wasn't bad @ 50$ they offered me the same thing but only with 2500msgs for 57$ before taxes

I think its best for both sides since they dont want to waste time negotiating. Knowing that everyone is just gonna get the iphone4s anyways. Besides isnt it only $25 for 500mb data and $30 for 6gb at rogers? Maybe it will be avaiable for us to upgrade in a few months if we do use over our data

I got offered the same deal for the same price except 500 MB instead of 6B, so I say it's a good deal. If you're successful with the $25+10 flex, let me know. I didn't have any luck :( I might try another day sometime later this week.

Calling in now for the $25 + 10 flex. I've seen 3 people get it so far.. and TONS of people failing. So.. we'll see what happens.

Not sure if the 6gb is worth fighting for if u can get a minimal good plan for $50. They might be generous to let u up grade to 6gb for $5 charge in the future.

What do u guys even do to exceed 6gb of data?

With tethering, YouTube, downloading music and video from iTunes...I still usually only use half of my bandwidth.
