If i don't want to pay the penalty for the data contract, can I just change the data to BlackBerry social networking? Would that count?

Ronin 10-16-2011 07:54 AM

1GB is plenty if you don't constantly YouTube, tether, etc. Browsing and e-mail take nearly nothing. Just make sure your apps aren't enormous.

shawn79 10-16-2011 03:09 PM

honestTea how long have u been with fido for?

HonestTea 10-16-2011 03:11 PM

Fido account like 6-7 months LOL I went on month-to-month for a bit since they needed a min of 6 months before retention discounts.

shawn79 10-16-2011 11:57 PM

how long does a phone usually take to ship? Is it being shipped locally or from some warehouse in Canada

wix 10-17-2011 10:42 PM

Decided to stick with the $50 plan they gave me with the 6GB data. Don't think I want to chase the $25+10 (Flex) pipe dream anymore lol, called in 3 times already.

Anyone know any fido places where I can get an iPhone 4S White (32GB)? There were 1-2 left at BestBuys on Saturday, but I had plans so was unable to get one.

Thank yous

thats Rogers, hell even thats changed
for Fido is always been 6months prior to ur agreement ending

I have always had luck upgrading through fido retentions. Never ran into issues with them

this is a first for me.

Groot 10-18-2011 10:00 PM

recently renewed my contract through retentions. wondering if its possible to "return" my contract? i still haven't gotten my iphone either.

dyan 10-18-2011 10:34 PM

Groot 10-18-2011 10:45 PM

Tim Budong 10-19-2011 12:08 AM

Reservation system is no longer in use. You can call 611 to renew your plan/HUP and they will ship it to you.

Just got everything done..

iPhone 4S 32GB (White)
200 Anytime
Unlimited Evening/Weekends @ 5PM
Unlimited Fido2Fido
2500 Texts
Caller ID / Name Display / Enhanced VM
6 GB Data (Tethering allowed)

$50 + tax per month

Going to try this out for 1-2 months, then if I don't need that much data, I will call back to cancel it and switch to Flex Data. $200 early data cancellation fee ($10/month left on plan to a maximum of $200)

That's all the info you guys should need.

shawn79 10-19-2011 04:55 PM

$200 for cancellation fee which means

$200 + $159 (16gb) = total price paid for iphone4s? :fulloffuck:

I got a 32 GB for $200 after fido dollars + 200 = $400 for a $800 phone.. not a bad deal.

And I can choose to stay on my $25 plan, and not get data.

I called retentions 4 times and did a lot of research. Unless you can somehow get them to waive the EDCF, I don't think there is a cheaper alternative to get an iPhone4S without having to add a data plan (To keep your plan at $25 per month).

shawn79 10-19-2011 06:35 PM

how come they give u option to stay on the $25 plan and not get data. Did you sign 3 yr contract to get the iphone?
