!MiKrofT 04-27-2009 05:22 PM

Yeah she's been with them for a long long time. More than 5 years at least. Plus one of the Fido reps was really rude to her which was also one of the reasons why she was able to get such an awesome plan.

wix 04-28-2009 12:06 AM

I got the $25 one today, still pretty decent =) Considering i have 2years 7months left on my contract. I gave up my unlimited incoming plan though, but this still worked out to be less even if I added the unlimited incoming on

aznrsx1979 04-28-2009 02:18 PM

I'm a few months away from my plan expiring, I'm wondering if I should try to barter. I've got:

150 Anytime Mins
Unlimited Incoming
Unlimited Evening & Weekends (5pm start)
Voicemail
Who Called
Caller ID
2500 Text Messages
12MB Data

$38.xx (Taxes & SAF included)

Looks like a lot of people are getting better plans now.

Thats pretty simliar to what i have before, until i called in 2 or 3 days ago..
i gave up the unlimited incomming

but save lots of money

moomooCow 05-28-2009 05:12 PM

Just called,

200 anytime
unlimited evening and weekends ( start at 5 )
unlimited network calling ( had to get 'credited' for it ... so i only get it for two years for this price, otherwise it's unlimited fido to fido )
voicemail and caller id
2500 texts

2 year contract
$27.50 for the two years

$37.50 afterwards if i decide to keep the unlimited network calling instead of unlimited fido to fido.

similiar to what everyone else is getting... hah

92prelude 06-19-2009 01:49 PM

Just got off the phone with the nicest chick ever, Becky. if I have any suggestions, ask to speak to her! haha.
I worked it out and I'll be heading down to a local Fido to pick up my iPhone 3GS and have my plan activated on July 27th.

What I have..
6 GB data
200 Day time minutes
Unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 5pm
unlimited incoming
Voicemail
2500 txts
1000 MMS
Who called
Call/Name display

This for less than $70 a month! I didn't write it down so i don't remember the exact number, however, i think it was something like $65 :D.
Plus the $199 for a new 16GB white iPhone, but my fido $$$ will pay for that :)

smoothie. 06-22-2009 06:49 PM

unl inc
unl fido2fido
unl eveningswkends from 7pm

SoulCrusher 06-22-2009 07:10 PM

Damn you guys got it bad. Roger retention plans are much better and relatively similar in price. If your fido contract is going to expire soon, you mightwant to talk to rogers retention and see if they can offer a retention plan if you switch over.

This is my rogers retention plan (negiotiated april 09)

$20 (+ 6.95 + 0.50 )
350 daytime min
unlim E/W @ 6pm
unlim incoming
unlim txting
call id/voicemail
rogers to rogers
1000 canadian long distance

alex.w *// 06-22-2009 09:55 PM

^ that plan is pretty good, but i don't think a lot of ppl can get it that good

not sure how that will work but the point of retention plan is to keep you as a customer, not to jack other customers , cuz if thats the case then there wouldnt be a point for in-market plans, and plus if u started out with a retention plan, how much more do u expect when ur contract is up, but it doesnt hurt to try :)

Peturbo 06-23-2009 02:44 PM

Called last month and got this.

$56 after taxes (no SAF/911 fee)
2year contract

250daytime minutes
unlim E/W
unlim INC
unlim f2f
2500 text
call ID/voicemail
500mb data ($25)

I then also called in again today to change the $25 500mb data to $30 6gb.
3year contract for the 6gb data.
After taxes it should be still only around $61.

This plan though was after having been on a horrible plan with fido for 2-3 years.
$50 a month after taxes for only
100 daytime
unlim inc
caller id($7)
SAF + 911 fee

Durrann1984 06-25-2009 07:54 PM

You can, but you wont get anything. You can only sign a retention plan within 3 months of your plan ending.

exactly! retention plans are only for existing clients. as a new client, you get what any joe off the street gets. they dont care about losing you as a client cause you were never theirs to start with.

mr_chin 08-03-2009 10:30 AM

No fido retention? WTH?!

I've been with fido for almost 4 years now, and i ask if they have any retention offers and they said i'm not eligible.

Do I have to really cancel my plan to get them to offer me a retention plan? What's the strategy?

bcrdukes 08-03-2009 10:54 AM

Cancel is the key word! :D

You've been noted and flagged probably.

Stupid move to ask if there was a retention. You should have done your research and just called to cancel. But when you do this, you better be sure you can back up what you say. Be prepared to cancel if you don't get the plan you want.

vibikki 08-10-2009 07:37 PM

i have 2 yrs and 2months left on my contract, can i still request to change to any retention plan?
