Sigh so fido screw up the billing again. 2nd bill I got form them and both are screw up...
I change my plan to the new $57 plan and somehow the smart ass rep who change the plan for me cancel my contract now I got ding $517 in total charge on my credit card -_- and their line is close and live chat not working..........
Bunch of clowns....... I should have went with Wind instead.

current plan

• 200 weekday minutes
• 1,000 evening/weekend minutes
• unlimited incoming calls
• call display
• unlimited fido to fido/rogers
• unlimited text messages
• 2 gb data

$45/month + tax

LOL. were u on a 3 year contract ? bcuz the 57 plan is only for 2 year.

They just upped their 1gb to 2gb on the 57 dollar plan.

yeah its $30 for 500mb...

As well as all the basic voice plans now have unlimited Canada, US, and international text and picture text included

Those who switch to this plan earlier still needs to call in to change to this one. I just did the online chat with fido. If you don't change your plan will still be 1GB only.

Just talked to Fido retention for my gf's line. I renewed for her last time in Feb 2012 for 2 years. So she is only 9 months into the contract.

She had the old $25 plan with a $10 credit for free cid and vm, and 50 bonus.

The normal CSR said the 50 bonus and $10 credit will drop if I change to the new $25 plan.

So I asked to be transferred to retentions and got it done without any questions asked.

It is now $25 for:

150 + 50 bonus
unlim after 5 and weekend
unlim text/pic msg from Canada to Canada and International
call display, vm

$10 Credit, bonus minutes, and 2 yr agreement remains the same until Feb 2014

Only difference is that the minutes are now per-minute billed, as opposed to the old $25 plan is per-second billed. And she gets international text/pic msg now.

Curious, does retention really care who's calling in? Does it have to be the actual account owner? Or can a family member / friend (or above case...bf) help call in as long as they have your info?

Or will some CSR be anal and won't negotiate with you when they hear a male voice....for a female account?

How long have she been a Fido customer prior to you calling in, in Feb 2012?

The account owner can ask Fido to add an "authorized user" to the account. So this authorized user can have just as much power as the account owner.

Her account has been with fido for at least 5 years.

im having a hard time deciding what to choose. Image below is what I have now. Should I choose the 56$ smart plan on fido now or keep my current plan and replace it with 30$ for 6gbs like they offered? Also I never ever go over the 500mbs that I have. How big are youtube videos on HD when you stream on phone? would 2gbs be enough for a month if I get the 56$ plan?

well your decision is already made then if you are planning on getting the iphone 5 and selling it for note 2... coz u can't get the $56 on a 3yr contract hence u can't get the iphone 5... so your only option is getting the $30 6gb + whatever voice plan

not sure why but they made an exception for me. I just have to go to a Fido store to pick up the phone and choose one of the 3 plans they offered me for 3 years. Just not sure which one to pick now.

I only ask since mine doesn't show any date at all.

yea, i've always had it on my bills beside the credits. Not every bill will look the same.

if youre already on contract, just call in ask for it.
i just called it telling them 500mb isn't enough and im constantly going over and if there's anything they can do,
and the crs just gave me it.
