the $39 smart plan for $34 ($5 credit for 24 months)
Samsung Galaxy s3 for $100 (instead of $150)

First offer they gave me and I took it. Honestly I probably should have haggled a bit more but oh well.

I was told the same thing, so I just got them to give me a $10 credit so I'm paying 50 a month and I still get any iphone 5s I want.

is it worth calling fido retentions if I still have 9 months left on my contract. or should I wait until the contract expires to have more leverage? I've been a customer for 7 years.

I think it's worth it. Might need to try a few times to get the right rep though :)

Goign to cancel my current contract with Fido ($285 canellation fee) then go on another 2years contract with my corruent padkage and get the S4. is actually cheaper for me to do that than to outright buy the S4.

Also, when they say its unlimited data, it is unlimited. I tethered the fuck out of my unlimited data when I had it for 3 months. I used like 15 GB one month. How long do you have unlimited data for?

I'm currently with fido and would like to port my number over to Rogers. My billing cycle is on the 12th of every month and my contract ends on Dec 31 2013. What is the procedure to port over my number to Rogers without having to pay an overlaying month with 2 carriers?

Upgrading to iphone 5s. I have to pay $230 - $145 fido dollars to upgrade. No transfer fees or any other fees.

$64.00 + tax per month = $71.68

I am currently paying $75.00 + tax = $84.00


I called 611 and spoke to a CSR person. Explained to them all my friends transferred to WIND and that they were happy with the plans over there. Fido will say that WINDS coverage sucks. You tell them that your friends have no problem with the coverage. CSR xfer me to retention department. Thats when they gave me the offer.

If i pressed more, I'm sure i could have gotten a bit more, but I had a number in my mind and as long as they met it I would be happy. So saving $12.32 was good enough for me... thats $150 a year.
