^^ doing a chat support with a fido rep online and basically he is saying only some customers are offer this deal while others aren't. That's a bad move on his part lol. Never ever say different customer gets different promos because then you are basically saying we treat customers differently. Going to have some fun with him. EDIT: I didn't get that plan but I was able to know anohter $5 off my bill till my contracts expire also got a $30 credit for my next bill. Basically I did the online chat support, that agent said different customer gets different promo so I wasn't happy saying that's not how they should treat loyal customers. Call in and spoke to the first agent let him know I want to cancel becasue I wasn't offer a plan my friend got. He made some bull crap saying this is only for AB/MB and no other provience have it. Which again I explain is not true and I want to cancel. He trasfner me another agent (cancellation dept) so I explain what happen and this is not good customer service becasue 1. they are offering to different promos to different customer 2. the agent who I talked to earlier outright lie about it. Let him know that's bad customer service and not acceptable so he offer $5 off my bill and $30 credit. This maeks my currently even better! |

Do you guys know if Fido will be getting the note 4? My contract is ending September and I heard its going to be released to the public this week. |
Not sure if it's mentioned anywhere on the forum and I didn't want to create a new thread just for this but I just got the $55 Koodoo MB/SK plan which is pretty much equal to the $65 plan that Fido is offering but I'm only paying $49.50 a month (-10% BYOD). 1. Walked in to FS and told them that I'm moving to MB and need a local number so I won't have to go through the trouble of getting a plan there once I arrive. 2. FS gave a MB number for the $55 unlimited 5GB data (-10% BYOD). 3. Registered account online and ported my local 604 number via Self-serve 4. Profit! I'm now able to make calls using my old 604 number and receive calls to my 604 as I would normally. http://i.imgur.com/Ec0tAwW.png Credits to ijcy of HoFo How to get the $55- Koodo sk/mb plan. |

cause I really doubt they will give anyone this plan now even if you have been with Fido for over 5+ years and trying to renew your contract lol I think this plan was only offered to people 2-3+ years ago |

make sure that you port it close to your billing cycle that way you'll get the most out of your previous provider. And no, you don't need to contact fido to cancel your original plan. Once the port is successful then fido will send you a final invoice for whatever amount you may owe. |

edit* since this is a fido thread, i feel obligated to mention that I have a fido retention plan ($50, 6gb data etc), but my contract ended last month and they took off $15 in monthly credits. now seeking options |
went to the fs in bridgeport. IMO if you've been a long time customer with fido and if your monthly plan is more or less in the $65 range, then you might as well get the $65 plan and stick with them because you'll have more leverage with them for future deals. Going with the MB/SK Koodo plan on the other hand will save you money but once you call in and they realize that you've got a MK/SK plan but a 604 area code, that'll make them go :suspicious: then again the "trick" has been up for almost a year now and yet I'm still able to take advantage of it |
leverage... what? so i can get an extra $5 off the next $90/month plan they come out with? LOL the retention plan i had is being grandfathered out, they will never offer anything like it again. if i stick with it on a month-to-month basis, it's $70 after tax. while compared to their new retarded plans, it still seems like a "deal", it's not. |
fair enough. I used to pay $36 for a grandfathered plan I had Robbers until they decide to phase out the credits. if you are getting the koodoo plan and have any questions, feel free to pm me |

my contract ended in July of this year and i was just speaking to a rep this morning concerning renewal and he offered to extend my current plan for another 2 yrs should i choose too. so that's 250 day time, unltd evening/wkdn, value pack crap, and 6 GB of data.. all for $69 before taxes. and i'm also eligible to get the iphone6 (should i choose too) at contract price as my plan would be considered a "max plan" (apparently only with max plans can you get the i6 at contract price). |

Anyone have an unlimited/6GB plan for anything under $80? It's damn expensive but can't find any alternatives at the moment... Edit: nvm, just saw the posts in the previous pages. Damn, either I'm overpaying way too badly or they're damn lucky to have gotten those plans. |
I pay $56 after tax, I think. 6GB, unlimited...stuff. |
^Pretty sure your not gonna get that once ur contract expires lol Anyone renew their contract lately? Seeing what the best deal is right now with phone upgrade. |
