I thought it's within 6 months of contract expiry for early renewals.

The_Situation 09-23-2015 11:53 PM

I prefer the galaxy S5 over the S6, but it costs as much as the s6. That's a load of shit. I'm better off buying the s6 from fido when i renew, and selling off that phone to buy an S5. Only problem is finding someone selling a brand new S6. Anyone up for a trade?

Special K 09-28-2015 05:40 PM

I want to get a ip6s wih subsidy. Contract expired... Any deals right now?

My current plan:
Unlimited voice
Canadian LD
VM/CID
3GB
$56 including tax

DavidNguyen 09-28-2015 06:32 PM

If you want them to subsidize your 6s.
Then your gonna have to change your plan to a max place
Which on their website is 85 bucks for 1 gb data.
But it's always best to call in

corollagtSr5 10-05-2015 11:03 AM

So I spoke to fido on chat.
My current plan:
$25 for 250 min, unlimited evening and weekends canada wide calling, unlimited text and Caller Id.
$30 6gb data.

They offered iphone 6s 16gb for $599 two year contract on current plan. HUP waived. Is that a good deal?

DavidNguyen 10-05-2015 11:48 AM

Wow that's actually pretty good. Considering most carriers force a minimum of $70 monthly plan and get 500mb data.. I would resign for another 2 years

Yes

Any chance to keep your 6gb and still able to do an upgrade is a good deal.

Did you get any sort of reference number to refer back to your conversation?

mako 11-05-2015 08:57 AM

Tried fido live chat, fido answers and then customer relations.

Best offer was actually from live chat.
Keeping my old plan, upgrade to iPhone 6plus with Smart subsidy.
He offered $20 off phone and $5 credit for 6 months.
Thought I could go for more and left it at that.

No one that I talked to in person could match or better the offer.
CR ended up just giving me $21 off the phone.

Oh well, I'm keeping my old plan with 6gb data for $64/month

tdeweyn 11-23-2015 12:32 AM

Anyone interested in this plan? I want out and it's $200 bucks. Willing to negotiate. As long as you are not on a contract, I can port your # into my plan as I want to keep my #.

Basic information:

25$ Base Plan

250 Canada Wide Minutes, Unlimited Text International, MMS, Mini-Voice Mail, and Caller ID
(For the next 3 months, unlimited talk & text)

30$ 6GB Plan

6 GB of Data

Plan cost - $55 + tax = $61.60

There is the free credit for the unlimited talk & text. Can probably call 6-1-1 and negotiate for another $5 credit on account. The contract ends in December 2016. I want out as I can join my parents corporate plan.

If I remember correctly, porting another number into your plan requires your number to be forfeited. It also cannot be reused for a certain amount of time by any carrier after it is forfeited.

Is that so, that's unfortunate as I really do love my #.

DavidNguyen 11-23-2015 07:05 PM

just wondering. when doing a Hardware Upgrade. are they suppose to give you a new sim card? or do they let you use the old one and the sales person keeps the new one?

because my sales girl pocketed my brand new sim card and i asked to have it but she said "either i use it or she cant give it away due to company policy."
So of course i used it =D

I have the exact same plan.. Looking to get a subsidized phone but I don't think I can negotiate a better plan. I may go with the Bell business plan for 2 phones.

Anyone get a retention plan lately?

Durrann 11-28-2015 10:41 AM

uglydewey thats a good plan you're giving up. a lot of people would want your plan
curious to know what your parents corporate plan is

IpoU 12-03-2015 05:26 PM

Seem like Fido don't really have retention plan anymore...

My contract ended in September.
$25-$5credit
200min + Bonus 50min
1000LD min
Weekend and night
Unlimited Text
MMS
Mini-Voice Mail
and Caller ID
30$ 6gb data
150$ Fido dollar

So it
$25+30-$5=$50plus tax a month
$5 credit expire in May 2016

Wanted to get iPhone 6s Plus but the best they can do is 70$ ($45+$30-$5) unlimited talk text Canada wide And 6gb, for the iPhone. So thinking of leaving Fido for my wife Corp plan.
Pm me if you're interested

jtrinh 12-03-2015 08:14 PM

That's a pretty good deal on a subsidized 6s+

Your wifes corporate plan must be under $50/month with 6gb data?

It's just a Roger's business plan that was cheaper during the Black Friday sale. They were giving 400 credit for each port in #, so it would be my mom, dad, and myself. 1200 $ in credit, 200$ / month for 2 years + 10% for being a business and whatever else.

Yea I like my current fido plan just wish there were more options for phones.

thebrownboy 12-04-2015 12:58 PM

Just got offered 90$ a month from Fido for unlimited calling and texting Canada wide with 6gb of data for an iPhone 6s. Good or not really? It was 85$ with 4gb of data.

Currently paying 65$ for same calling and texting with only 2gb of data with an iPhone 5s with Fido

dlo 12-30-2015 07:58 PM

^

got the same plan with you pretty much lol, talking to fido atm, offered me 2.5gb with same shit for 78$ a month... wait what? extra 13$ for 500mb? sign me up... sike

gunchoz 12-31-2015 05:36 PM

There's currently a $70 Max Loyalty Plan with unlimited Canada wide calling and 6gb of data being offered for customers who've been with Fido for a while. That's pretty much the best plan I've seen asides from the $90 Max Loyalty with 6gb and the $105 with 10gb. YMMV

thats a great deal, when i renewed in feb the so-called "loyalty plan" they offered me was $69/mo with 2gb data...

i see a lot of you guys with the $30/6gb option, just wondering if this is pretty standard issue? i've never had it offered to me before...

i've been with fido since 2013

MTV Cribs 01-02-2016 09:30 PM

The 6gb/$30 was offered when the iPhone 3G came out in 2008 and was offered here and there during each iPhone release up to the iPhone 4S or 5 release I think. After that it was never offered again.

mako 01-03-2016 08:06 AM

They jacked mine up to 35.
Maybe cause I was off contract

Ronin 01-03-2016 08:36 AM

I've been with Fido since 1998.
