Left Fido this week, was a customer for 15 years but they wouldn't do much for me. I had unlimited + 750MB for $55 dollars before tax; I was on that since 2014.

They said they'd give me 1GB for the same price... umm... thanks, but no thanks.

Too bad you didn't jump on the $40 for 4GB or $50 for 5GB that happened not too long ago.

Same plan here, i wasn't really expecting a free phone out of them but i just paid like $30 sale tax and got a new G6 (with iphone4 trade in ).

Guy said tradeins = no cracked screen, scuffs are OK. He checked IMEI and made sure it's off icloud, thats it

Public Mobile, at the moment they offered that matching plan they wouldn't change it for me because I was still under contract -.-

Anyway, I now get full bars at home so I can't complain.

That's a fucking terrible plan. There's a 5GB plan for $55, I believe.

Really I would scrap the unlimited talk time and for more data. Talk minutes are just not necessary anymore.

EDIT: oh, if you're on contract, that's different. How did you get such a terrible plan in the first place?

Just do a reset/erase all data and it'll be fine.

I was on a new phone plan, but since then I have learned!

I basically had a plan that was slightly better than what they offer new customers. If you're a new customer, their basic plan is $65 and 1GB!! Terrible.

I'm planning on leaving Fido for a corporate plan at work that would allow me to upgrade my device. As my plan is grandfathered an upgrade would mean my plan will need to be upgraded as well. My current plan: 100 daytime, unlimited evening and weekend, unlimited picture and video messaging, unlimited international text messaging, voicemail, caller ID and 6GB of data for $65+ tax. If anyone would like this plan shoot me a PM.

I thought my plan was so much better than everyone else's but lately the phone plans have been getting better. Only catch is, I can't upgrade devices - I have to buy out an entire phone.

GF got the 4gb for $40 but her network seems slower than rogers LTE+

Apparently Fido has retention plans going on right now. They look like a better plan than those who have the really old $30 for 6gb

Tried calling in, but the CSR said that deal didn't exist. Maybe only retention dept can give it.

^ confirmed, just talked to a CSR and switched smoothly, the CSR was shocked (I only been with fido since oct 2016)

new plan - 75.00 10gig

Fuck Rogers, same company and offer nothing even close to that. I should just get some crap plan on Fido and wait for this deal to come back again in a few months.

That's what I did. I pay for me and my parents phones with Rogers was $220 3 gig data shared. I bought out the remaining months left with them and ported to fido.

I made sure I switched over 90 days before black Friday came around. (That's important to getting the Fido loyalty plans they offer around that time) now I pay $150 all 3 lines have unlimited Canadian minutes and 5 gig data each. It's been 2 years since the move. Well worth it

Totally forgot that back in December I had renewed my same grandfathered plan for two years to get a free phone to give to my dad. (D'oh)

Will wait a few days, regroup, think about how I'm gonna sell this and call again.

Anybody have any experience being able to get a retention plan or switch plans while on a contract without having to pay early device upgrade fee?

Am willing to sign another 2 years if need be, and technically itd be switching to a more expensive plan.

I just phoned in and they can only offer me the 10gb 75 dollar plan. They said I already have a 6gb plan but I don't need the extra data. I rather have 5 dollars off from my 60 dollar plan I have now and also want the unlimited minutes. They seem to only up sell plans vs giving discounts.

paid out of your current contract and then sign for another one. They are more strict now especially since you renew your plan not too long ago.

fuck fido - finally left them.

over 10 years with them and they wouldnt give me the $55 plan.

went freedom, and I went in knowing reception would be worse etc etc. I get better bars at home with freedom than fido.. LOL

$59 plan 8gb unlimited most things was $50 this past weekend, added a friends and family code and I'm paying $37 a month after taxes.

anyone paying more than $60 with fido is getting ripped off right now.
