^ I don't get it. What does the original ending have to do with 9/11? I mean I can see it's purpose is almost the same but not the median used to execute the purpose.

The original ending was super gory. You ever read the graphic novel? If not, take a peek at it and look at the beginning of the chapter 12. They didn't want to show that, but apparently the ending will serve the same purpose as the original. We'll see.

also kinda coo when u buy the movie when it comes out it is going to include the side comic part Tales of the Black Freighter, i just kinda skimmed over that
^I downloaded the motion comic. I kinda like it better than actually reading it but it's wierd how he does all the voices including the women's. But he's very good at changing his voices up.
The dvd of the movie will have an ultimate extended version with lots of the scenes that were cut out for theatrical time limit purposes as well as having the black freighter incorporated throughout the movie as the comic did.

I have no idea what this movie is about other then it involves superhero type characters and I like it that way. I'm going to see it this weekend with no expectations at all, looking forward to it.

My friends invited me to the advance screening of the Watchmen yesterday night.
Please keep in mind that I have not read the novel. The only thing i knew about this movie beforehand was that it was about a group of conflicted superheroes.
Spoiler!
I was expecting something completely different from what I saw. I was expecting an action packed movie, but it was a thinking/intellectual movie. There were some good fighting and gore filled scenes, but the the entire movie was far too drawn out for me. Honestly, the movie could not end fast enough for me (bored out of my mind for 95% of the 2.5 hours) and i didn't appreciate spending 2.5 hours looking at a blue penis lol. If i had known any of this before hand, i would NOT have watched it.
For those that are a fan of the graphic novel, the comments i heard were mainly positive, with a few that were uncertain.
If you are a fan of the novel, i'm pretty sure you will, at the bare minimum, at least somewhat enjoy this movie.
But, for someone who's expecting an action filled, stereotypical superhero movie, I would definitely watch something else.
