Slumdog Millionaire
did anyone see this yet? This is only available at Burrard and 5th. it was directed by danny Boyle.(trainspotting + 28 days later)
story is simple. Jamal who was at Mumbai went to Who wants to be a millionaire nad he's one question away to the big prize (40 million rupees.) He is a slumdog (aka, hobo, loser, street rat) and people are questioning how he was able to go thru the game show without cheating.
the music was amazing, the script was fraking AWESOME, the acting was by far very very realistic and i'm talking about every single person in the movie did a really good job.
If you ever want to take a date to see 007, role model or this movie, go with this one. You will come out all happy, jolly and sure beats your date "errr, 007 was okk....." "or.. i didn't get what's wo funny about role models"...etc.
i haven't seen kite runner yet, but this movie Slumdog millionaire was by far the best move i've seen in 2008.

I loved this movie, but I was expected a scene or two of random dance routines.

Yea, but that was not so random. It has to be in the middle of the movie to be authentic.

Just caught it at 5th Ave. Agreed that it's a wicked film. Good soundtrack, superb acting from the young to the old, very well shot.

Just watched it last night, Awesome movie. Highly recommend it. I think I'll let my parents watch it as well. We usually have to censor what we let them watch, lol.

I was very skeptical about watching this movie. Friends I know said it was great, but the premise just seemed uninspiring.
Watched it, and loved it. By far the best movie i've seen in the last year.

i watched the wrestler and got depressed and then i watched slumdog millionaire and was happy again! what a great movie though, definitely one of the best of 2008... its "mind blasting!"

just saw it. fantastic. I will recommend it to everyone I meet.
Another GREAT movie that is very similar (extremely similar) is CITY OF GOD. (South American flick) check it out.

such a disappointment...when i went to see this movie there were only front row seats left so i couldn't watch it for neck reasons. have to go see it this weekend
