Stay away from that body shop in Richmond located near the night market if it's still around. My dealer (BMW Store) recommended that I have some minor bumper damage on my 6 series fixed by them.
Basically the bullshit started when I went to drop the car off. The person working there was rude and made me wait 20 mins because he was trying to fix his printer. Ok whatever, I let it be and left my car there. I was told it was going to take 3-4 days max so on the 4th day I called and asked about my car and I was told to call back in 10 mins. I call back and I was told that the person in charge of my car left for the day....um ok but it's only 2pm!!!!! I call the next day and was told that they removed the bumper and found additional damage and needed ICBC to come in and check it. I found the whole additional damage bullshit. Long story short, my car was returned after 10 days. They footed ICBC a bill of almost $4000 for "additional" damages, thankfully it was a leased car. The car was returned dirty, their excuse was it rained...it never did. The overall quality of the work was ok but I would stay away from them.

Basically go straight on Sweden way, take a left on Vulcan way and it's on the left side. I can't remember the name because the repair was done a while back.

AKautoworks. Just walk into their shop and you'll see 80% of their cars are BMW's.

+1 for No.1 Collision. They did work on my moms 528, my uncles pathfinder when it had to get new paint, and my moms current car. They do a lot of BMWs, the people are nice there to.

I've used NO.1 and Bismark.....
Both are great bodyshops. I've brought my last 3 claims (gf and mine) to Bismark. Deal with the younger asian guys Stan. He'll take care of you straight through.

If you are looking for the absolute best - Korva. They work on classic lambos, porsches, the Sl gullwings not to mention the lp640s - you get the idea. Vic, the owner is usually quite cool he always slotted my shy old bimmer in between his appointments within a week or so.
After that comes Autostrasse but good luck getting anything done in the next 3 months.
No.1 is good but they also deal with Japanese cars - so... make your own conclusions.
I've never been to Bismark but CG Motorsports uses them - so they must be good.
Sorry to hear about your h&r.

korva if you can. i tried going there to get my dad's car fixed several years back but there was a 2 month waiting list and he couldn't wait
not sure if it makes any difference but unique detailing also recommended korva. they told me they get damaged cars that came back after being repaired by them and they were very impressed by their work.

NO1 Collision has some eye candy there while you are waiting to be serviced. Her name is Nina.

I'll give you a very good tip when it comes to looking for good bodyshops. Just because a shop works on Mercedes, BMW's, Audi's, etc., it doesn't necessarily mean that they're good. Chances are they give good rates to dealerships in order to get their business. What you WANT to look for when scoping out bodyshops is the amount of classic cars they've worked on in the past. Let's be bluntly honest here... the typical BMW or Mercedes owner isn't going to give two shits about the quality of the bodywork, provided it looks like it was done decently. A classic car owner, on the other hand, will be the most anal retentive customer a business can ever have. They're spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on rebuilding these cars and every aspect of the car will need to be perfect, bodywork included. Shops that specialize in these sort of things will have a far greater caliber of work that's shown in the end result when compared to shops like No 1 Collision.

Burrad Autostrasse is the best bodyshop I've been to so far. I waited 3 weeks for my appointment and took them 4 days to fix my front bumper. I heard Korva was the best beacuse they fix alot of ferraris so I recommend it to a friend but it turned sour. They did a terrible paint job and they charged my friend extra money to fix up their own mistake. Mercedes Benz Bodyshop in Richmond near Ikea is not bad. However they did a bad job repainting my hood, gave me back the car without inspecting so I had to bring it back and they had no problem repainting it again at no charge. Vieta is specialized in fixing Toyota and Lexus, they are expensive and depending on how much the ICBC adjuster quote you, they might turn you down giving the excuse they're super busy. The only reason people here who brought up Bismark and No 1 Collision in Richmond because they are asian and probably related to them in some way. In realilty they do a so-so job. The worst I've heard is Automind. I'd like to know from others who is the best? Which body works on classic cars and does ICBC repairs?

Bavara Auto Haus in Langley www.flickr.com/bavara <- check out some of their previous work www.bavara.ca
Plus they're one of the only shops that will come direct to you to exchange vehicles at your convenience. They also have their own tow truck in service.
