The praries are a different type of cold it's way drier. That's not to say -45 with W/C isn't cold but that same -45 here would feel way worse. If you dress for it it's fine. This is coming from a kid who grew up in Regina and would play outside for hours in stupid cold weather and walk uphill both ways on my way to school.

God dammit. I wish i were a fat chick right now. Well almost. At least i'd have more fat to keep me warm. i spent most of the night curled up in a ball half asleep. and then i stretch out this morning and the rest of my bed is FREEZING.

i turned the heat on so one side of my room is really nice and toasty..but the other side (where my bed is) is still cold. It's retarded since i don't have a big room.
I think i shall go buy one of those portable heaters later and then sit in front of it all day. Having really craptastic circulation doesn't help at all. hmm..maybe my toes will fall off
o.o

My place is freezing because I haven't turned on the heat yet. I just put on more clothing, and if i'm just sitting around watching TV, i'll drape myself with a blanket. For sleeping, I just add another couple blankets to my bed, and i'm nice and toasty. When I wake up the next, frosty morning, I just slip into a hot shower to get clean and warmed up for the morning.

How did you manage to get out of a warm bed, walk to a bathroom, and turn on the shower in freezing tempeture?

I had to keep my clothes right by my pillow to do that

I have to wake up for work at about 5am.. crisp coldness wakes you up really well.
I underwent this conditioning when I was a kid where I took ice cold showers and then ran until my body was hot again. Might be a good idea to try that again.

Holy crap, it's so cold >_<
Having a huge window in your room doesn't seem to help the situation either.
