Best BOV'S

I want to get a BOV for my car and I have read alot of reviews and forums and a few types. I just wanted to ask people or rev. which you think is the best one to get.

Berzerker 12-13-2008 02:34 PM

What do you mean best? Its a personal preference on what type of sound you want out of it. Go find BOV sounds online and listen to them and decide what to get from there. I run an RFL and I love it... If I was to get a different one I would probably go with a SSQ.

Berz out.

tial

Jackygor 12-13-2008 03:31 PM

Tial or forge is probably the best. Don't be a ricer, if you are only going for the sounds.

Berzerker 12-13-2008 04:58 PM

They all do the same thing so why not choose a sound you don't mind hearing all day? If your pushing major horsepower then of course get a racing BOV but if your just running around with low hp they will all do the same thing for you.

Berz out.

stock 1G DSM for best value. Greddy Type-R(rs) for all around good value and performance. SSQ for puresex sounds.

Supafly 12-15-2008 09:46 AM

when i ran a boosted car, my GReddy Type-S was awesome...ear peircing whistle.

Some BOVs have different reaction times compared to others. The spring rate inside them vary from BOV to BOV. Then again, it's such a minute detail, nobody really cares until you're into serious drag racing or something where every little bit counts. :\

Ive had DSM 1g, Turboxs RFL, and TiAl 50mm, for sound i liked the turboxs(at first, it got a little too annoying) for quality/sound id go TiAl 50mm for sure.

brine04 12-16-2008 01:07 AM

synapse for just the best performing bov but for looks and sound the new 2nd gen Tial.

Leopold Stotch 12-16-2008 11:16 PM

which bov sounds like compressor surge?

i really like that noise lol,

Berzerker 12-16-2008 11:22 PM

Berz out.

brine04 12-18-2008 06:15 PM

The ssqv is the only one I have seen that needs the seals replaced every few years.

hk20000 12-18-2008 10:59 PM

no one mentioned blitz - blitz DD is for the subtle you who don't wanna hear a thing at low throttle lift offs and really natural sound of psssssssssh when you put the hammer down....

that's why it's called Dual Drive.

bcrdukes 12-18-2008 11:02 PM

I liked the Blitz DD. Had a very natural sound. :)
