well i just went through it, took like 5 minutes.
" luxury " wash
- underbody
- polish/wax spray
- foam wash
- dry
- clearcoat polish?
can't remember the rest, but it's the best wash they have ( and the only one that includes underspray )
total of $11.54 in.
for the underspray, it's about 8 nozzles lined perpendicular to your car as you enter, and you just roll over it slowly, then the rest is as usual.
one downside, it doesn't include wheel wash. but it was nice and fast.

I wonder if that wax/tricolor foam stuff is actually good for your car?
I heard it just helps your car dry faster

You'll want to wash it yourself later on

crap should've taken some pictures of before and after.
the foam wasn't tri color, it was just blue.
the car wasn't filthy or anything, i just wanted to do it for the underspray.
there is a nice shine to the car after the wash though and all the previous dirt/grime is definitely off the car, water beads off nicely after the wax coat as well.
i used the esso power wash station, someone previously already posted the link for location finder.
and no i didn't get the gas, didn't know there was a discount. however, i only fill up at chevron anyways.

Hmm, i wonder if different locations have different pricing?
I only got a "full wash" last weekend at marine and fraser (under a luxury wash)
I believe it cost me about $12 something?

i was wondering about the pricing too. it's not much of a difference but the willingdon/kingsway location was $1 less than the burrard/broadway one.

I heard it just helps your car dry faster | i also go to chevron, so i wasn't able to take advantage of the $1 discount esso gives if you fill up at the same time.
i've been avoiding the wax treatment. it dulled and streaked all the black plastic trim on the car. i had to use a wax cleaner/polish to get it off.
like everyone else said, it's not going to be as perfect as a hand wash, and there is usually a grey filmy residue, especially noticable on the windows where the wipers cannot reach. but i'm not going to risk freezing my balls off, ice, and broken pipes, so it will have to do.
oddly enough... my wheels get mostly clean under the normal wash, as in black brake dust buildup, but then they are factory powdercoat silver, not chrome, etc. tires are still dirty brown though.

I just got back from the Esso on Marine Dr. and Fraser.
$11.99 for the "luxury" wash even though it was advertised as $9.99 or 599 Esso points, which I used so you guys can duke it out with the pricing.
Underbody wash was 30 seconds and the dryer a minute. Have fun!

Took mine to the Esso at Kingsway/Willingdon and it did a pretty good job on my car. Rims are nice and clean and most of the dirt is off my car. Well worth the $10.

My car is pretty low..about 3-4inches off the ground.

it's a touchless car wash, so you just drive into the bay and a robotic arm goes around the car to do the rest. the underbody spray is mounted inside the floor and side walls the come on as you enter the bay.
remember... if the lineups are long and you didn't buy gas, line up first, and when you're about 3-5 cars until your turn, park your car in the lineup just after the first car in the lineup goes in, and then you have at least 5 minutes to go to the cashier and pay, and you won't lose your place in the lineup.

I've always washed my own cars, but thinking of trying out a touchless to save some effort.. would a roof-mount antenna be affected by the machines at all?

I pulled out the hose today and hand washed my car. It's so clean I don't really want to drive it, but it was very dirty from the rain and snowfall.

which touchless uses the most paint friendly soap? My ride is only a few days old and in black but its too cold to handwash right now. Being a new car and all, i'm worry the touchless might do damage to the paint. it has plastic chrome pieces too, is the soap going to dull it?

from the esso website: Quote: Esso Touchless car washes 1
Treat your car with the care it deserves at an Esso Touchless car wash, now available at more than 400 locations in Canada. Experience new advances in car-wash technology, as your car is thoroughly cleaned without the need for brushes or rollers. Instead, we use a mixture of soft warm water and specially designed bio-degradable soaps to loosen the dirt and salt from your car's outer surfaces. Finally, a high-powered fresh-water rinse leaves your car sparkling clean. | if you have weak chrome (ie. cheap plastic trim) that is wearing out or peeling, the hot water pressure wash might not be a good thing imo. there is this big-ass sign right in front of the door that says they aren't responsible for damage, and there is a long list of stuff as examples, like bad convertible tops and low bodykits.
as for the roof antenna... not sure. there is a max. height limit, but i can't remember what it is. the facilities have open display windows and you can watch cars being washed from the outside if you want to look before committing?
damn i miss sunny warm days so much with nothing but a microfibre mitt and a lot of time on my hands
