| What are the best activities to do in Whistler?
Going there friday with the gf.
Anyone have any experiences?
I go there every winter but I usually end up doing nothing special besides skiing/snowboarding.
From their website they have a list of things to do..
-zip trek ecotour
-dog sledding
-horse drawn sleigh rides (gf would prob like this lol)
-snowmobiling
-tube park (for evenings I guess when skiing is done)
What are some of your fav things to do in Whistler?
What are your favorite places to eat/drink at?

with the weather now, snowboarding is a must then again, that's a dumb answer.
if you want to spend somemoney, i highly higly suggest snowmobiling. youget lunch and you get to just ride in an open field with a guide. My grandma was 66+ and was 180 lbs and she had a blast.
go and BOOK your restaurants BEFORE the lunch and make sure you have a back up place just in case you're planning a dinner on the weekends.
clubbing is great if you're into a rowdy environment, its one of the few places where you can just drink in the open (of course not legally) but the environment is pretty relaxed.

Snowmobiling sounds like fun. So it's just in an open field? Do they have trails that you take?
The gay thing about Whistler (I find) is that the clubbing is pretty crappy. I mean the music and such is good, it's just that there are 75% men which makes for an unbalanced atmosphere lol. I am just going with my gf tho, but still haha. I don't think we're going to check out any of the night stuff.
My gf is just learning how to ski. Her first time up was last year. I showed her the ropes and she isn't bad. We're gonna go again but im gonna assume she will be tired after a couple hours. I will want to take full advantage of my lift ticket. I want to go up the mountain by myself I guess for a few more hours. My question is, where or what can she do in the meantime? What about spas? Are there any ones someone can recommend? that's one thing I would not enjoy doing but she would ahha.
Also, what restaurants do you recommend?
edit: holy shit they got 34cm today!

PLEASE try to go at hte very front or else u'll be smelling everyone's smoke.
then u get to a field to eat and drink and hot coffee and then u get a place like a football field to have fun practicing then go back down the trail to go home

The sleigh ride is a waste of money.
On the cover of the brochure it looks like they bring you up a mountain or hill but they don't. They brought us to a nearby lake and some townhouses owned by celebrities.
Boring but I liked the free Apple Cider. It taste good and was made by kids. The kids also sang us a song.

whistler is pretty boring if you go as a couple (without a group of friends)
unless you've been going out for a month or so, and then you can just ride, eat, have sex, repeat

tommy afrika's or garfinkles is pretty fun. you can probably find someone having a bachelorette party on any given weekend.

You can still ziptreck in the winter?
Contrary to popular beliefs, Whistler actually takes in more summer visitors than winter. They have 10x more activities during summer than winter.
