Yeah theres a few courses that require 2 courses at langara but 1 at ubc.... I essentially do not want to take 2... especially something like English. But now that I'm in English 1129 already I guess its too late, but I hate it. Tuesday night 3 hour class .

Hi everyone. I'm a UBC student but i plan to take an entry-lvl Phys course at Langara this upcoming summer semester. I want to take the equivilant course of PHYS 100 at UBC so i can transfer it for credits when i go back in september. I was told it's very similar to Physics 11, so which would be the right course for me? It says LANG PHYS 1118 (4) in the BC transfer guide..i just need some confirmation as i dont know when this info was last updated
Also, how's the mark break down go for a typical Langara Sci course (lots of MT, assignments? heavy on finals?)
TIA

hope to see u there..lol | ^ hmm, how are you registering? I'm interested in taking Phys 1118 (UBC's equv Phys 100). But I just wanna take this only course, do i have to apply to a program, pay application fee, pay student fees, U-pass???
Also i heard UBC 'dumbs' down the grades when you transfer the credits by dropping it a few %...is that true?? No offense to any students here I'm just curious
Their site is so vague...their schedule doesnt even say what the duration is (may-june? july aug)??

Spotted this Asian girl driving a white TSX parking along 49th right in front of the library today around 1pm.
I was inside looking from the window and she was trying to park in between a Jeep and a Benz. She parallel parked AT LEAST 8 times... On the 9th time she was moving forward and adjusting her wheel, BAM! the whole jeep moved forward... at that point, i LOLED. She continued till she probably reversed for the 11th time, and parked.
She got out, inspected her front end, proceeded to the passengers side to check how much she was away from the curb I guess... and went back into vehicle.
She adjusted again and again for probably another 9 times before she got out, got her books and headed toward the main entrance..
*in case you were wondering, the Jeep had those massive Steel bars behind the spare tire, so.. luckily, it wasn't damage to the car.
But honestly, wtf? Langara students, they just hit, and don't care, and just care about their own car... fuckers

wth
langara's waitlist system is so stupid..you have to reconfirm everyday?
why even bother with waitlist then. I'm 3rd in line and there's 15 waitlisted for my section lol
what happens to the remainder on waitlist after classes have started? Do they open up a new class if there's lots left on the WL?

And yeah you have to pay for parking at all times or something.
As for the WL... if you're in like the top 5 they recommend that you go to the class and see if a spot opens up, talk to the instructor.
It's stupid really, they need to have more classes available. There's always like a ton of people on WLs.

On avg how good is the chance of someone in top 3 of WL getting a seat in class?
I guess everyone else on WL is SOL then?

What class is it for?
I was like 20th and I got in before.
There's still quite some time before classes start so I'm sure you'll get in.
