Anybody know if I'll get in OB (BUSM 2200) online if I'm 10th or 12th on the waitlist?

Oh and if anyone has taken MARK 1115 before, please tell me who you had and how the course was (difficulty, fun, etc)!

Pulled off a 70% on the second lab exam, I'm satisfied.

For MARK 1115, I haven't taken it but I'm in Deland Jessop's class for next semester. On weekends, I've seen people do group projects for marketing like creating products and what not...looks pretty fun except for meeting up to do the work which usually takes up a lot of time on weekends...

so has anyone taken philosophy with either Boston or Preinsperg? The reviews seem kind of mediocre for both of them but I am interested in the course and any input would be great

Yu Ling's leading me in a trap man. She keeps telling me to not give up even though i've pretty much failed both midterms...

God damn you're smart for doing that. Why didn't you tell me that haha! I'm the chinese guy with glasses at the back 2nd row.. Sitting with the other white people and laughing at the occasional joke they make.

Please let me know! We can share past quizzes, midterms, etc if one of us is going to take a course that the other has taken
Took OB in the summer with Linda.. she's easy in the beginning but kind of bitchy as the semester progresses. You need to rmb EVERYTHING from the textbook and she doesn't update the slides she puts online. Don't buy a book though.. just borrow from a friend.

Had John Falcus for MARK2400 (Marketing Research) and he's a really nice guy. His tests aren't too difficult if you study... rather straight-forward.

He's actually quite interesting... but his tests are meh.
I aced the first MT for the MC but I failed the essay.
You can ONLY use his lecture notes and the things he says for the essay... if you use stuff from the textbook, he'll fail you.
The most you'll get for the essay for using things outside of the lecture is 50%. Kinda hard differentiating what you studied off of lecture note and what you studied off the textbook.

The good thing is that he gives you the essay topics 2-3wks before hand and you can find him with your rough draft (if you can) to go through it with him to see if it'd be adequate for the exam.

MC is fairly easy though imo.. can use the process of elimination.

I did 1101 with Kurt Preinsperg. He's really passionate and enthusiastic, I liked that about him. Don't be afraid to speak up in class and you'll do fine. Readings are a must, but you can just skim.

yeah if your 20 on wait list is pretty much guaranteed to get in. I got into a class where i was 80th. You could always just ask the teacher a month into the class.

There are no quizzes. Just weekly discussions on blackboard, one mt, and one project with random partners. Class is very very easy. She gives you the midterm questions before the exams so you can prep for them and then just copy and paste into BB.
