Wish they had started this last year, would had been useful. Already at 48 credits, so this program is useless for me, but good for those around 30 credits. SFU-Langara degree program - Simon Fraser University |

Sure it is free but is hard to reference anything and not to mention I can't bring it to school unless I have my laptop or ipad with me. Even then reading an actual text books is less tiring on your eyes.

I already have a large collection of Ebooks for langara. I plan to use it on my tablet or search words on acrobat.

hey guys, just a quick question about waitlisting. Well I was originally planning to take 3 courses, I decided that might as well take another and work less. So right now I'm #7, what are my chances of getting since school starts next week?

Depends on the course, but #7 isn't too bad. There are always people who forget to confirm their position and get dropped, now that the confirmation period is like once a day. Attend the class anyway, so you don't miss anything in case you do get in.

Seems like Tsai for Stats courses is pretty hit or miss, any more opinions on her?
Its between Tsai STAT1123 or Farahi CPSC1050; both seem to be easy courses but the STAT course just works better schedule wise.

nubtub:
Just show up for class even on wait list. If not many people from wait list shows, the prof usually gives you priority since you showed up to class anyways. Some even go over the cap of their class to fit you in. It also depends on what class it is.
Good luck |

She's an awesome teacher. I took her for stat1181&2225. She likes to review everything she taught last class, all the midterm material before the test, and she makes obvious hints at the questions she will put on her midterms.
Found her projects much simpler compared to the other stat teachers, and she's a very very fair marker.

Usually you don't have to, but since I have a lab today and it's not cancelled or anything (no class/lecture before the lab) I'll just go and see what's up.

Unless stated by the teacher that this week's lab is nothing and the real lab is next week then you don't need to go. Otherwise be there for every class for Biology, not only cuz you have to, but Biology is known to be hard at Langara. You have a Lab Exam and a Midterm Exam (textbook). Labs are optional to attend after the first one but that just means you'll be screwed for the lab exam. Fall behind in Biology and you are done LOL

K guys this year I see a lot of fresh meat. It's getting more and more packed. Retarded thing this year is that the teachers no longer have the ability to override shit I believe unless the teacher has some kind of status and ability, plus desire to override you
I am third for 2 courses on waitlist and teachers aren't doing anything about it because they say their hands are tied. Plus I can't get my upass after I have a deferral because they say I didn't pay my school fees in full. Like seriously, I already applied for student loans and they still won't give me my upass like I'm going to take it from them. I have that RS deferral plan because I just came back from UVIC so I need to deferral through the school instead of StudentAid helping me get deferral status
