| Looking For: Reputable AirCon Repair Shop & also engine repair/maintenance (JDM car)
Hey guys.
Welp, I've definately been totally out of the local car scene for a long time now, but I've been wanting to get my Nissan Y32 Cima back on the road.
I've been totally STRUGGLING to find a good repair shop(s) that is willing to work on a JDM Car.
1.) A shop that does reputable repairs / engine diagnostics. Shop must be familiar to Nissan/Infiniti's because the closest North American version of my car would be Infiniti Q45. Problem: My car is hesitating/misfiring at certain load and rpms (problem is sporatic and random)
2.) A Air Conditioning repair shop that can diagnose why my central air blower for the interior WON'T TURN OFF. It will continuously blow at a constant speed even tho i hit the off button.
I am not looking for a tuner shop that slaps on kits and stuff. I'm looking for a shop that knows their cars well enough to work on something a little bit off the beaten bath.
My car is bone stock basically... just looking to repair annoying problems.
Any advice guys??? i feel so newb. LOL

Z-Tune Motorsports in Burnaby. They specialize in Nissans, mostly 300zx's, 350's, and Syklines, but they know Nissans.
I've been taking my GTR there for a long time and they are awesome guys that know their ish.
Check them out.

Hahahah my thoughts exactly!! LOL
Thing is, I've been in the scene way before those shops have been in existance to know who to stay away from
I was hoping for recommendations for certified mechanics shops and not ones that are basically 'mod shops' Quote:

tough one Will.
the a/c issue sounds more like either a failed servo motor or electrical. u need to do some research of ur own to see if u can get electric diagram.
the engine issue, i would do the regular changes first, eg, plugs and wires. if there is a distributor, then look into getting those changed. if not, then maybe get the coils changed. when u pop off the spark plugs, u can see if there is in the plug chambers, that could lead to other things.
as for the best piece of advice, either try to find the mechanics manual for ur car (even if its in japanese) and then u can find a person that can translate it.

the Cima engine is on independent coils.
Chances are there's a crack in the coil pack/boot that's so miniscuous that you can't see it with naked eye. And under certain conditions it just sparks onto the head instead of on the plugs.
and then the central A/C is, amazingly, for a 15 year old car, diagnosible if you have the corresponding OBD-I scanner for Nissan (ones for Skyline should do the trick)
that should save you a lot of diagnosis headache.

If you were talking about small, you probably meant minuscule.

CEFIRO, are you finding any consistency at all in the hesitation/misfiring? Anything noteworthy?
I can think of 2 separate places that can quite possibly help you out with both issues, but I'm not going to post them here. PM me if you're still looking.

miniscous is awesome. like thugalicious. or like bootylicious.
anyway is the Y32 Cima boosted? 99% of the time if a boosted vehicle flogs out it has a boost leak....trace that.
If that info saved you some money I want lunch.
