Allegiant Air (Vegas)

Allegiant is running lots of $28 flights out of Bellingham to Vegas heading into March. If anyone was thinking of going about $100US return after taxes and other BS fees, pretty damm enticing.

Ya, it's been going since November I think. Too bad I have a 4 week get-away in March otherwise I'd make it a regular pit stop for me.

Most, if not all of the $28 flights are for the evening portion so you don't land until at least 10pm

Night and day are pretty much a blur there anyway. I think I'm going to go first week of March.

Only thing is that they hit you for everything. A checked piece of luggage is $15. Advance seat selection is $12. A drink on the plane is $2. The $28 fare ends up being $50 pretty quickly even without the "extras". However, it's still a pretty good deal. The only issue is driving down to Bellingham and having to pay for parking at the airport.

You dont have to pay for a luggage, you get a free carry on. You dont have to book the advance seat selection either, just have to be careful with that stuff thats how they get you is when people book it to quick and dont read it. I fly with Allegiant all the time

Booked for March. $28 each way. No seat selection, no bags, no priority check in. However, did get the flex option (allows unlimited name change and cancellation up to 24 hours before depart). Bottom line price came to $105 for one ticket. I'm happy.

I even managed to book Mirage for $88 per night plus 9% tax. Weds check in and Sat check out. I always try to book direct from the hotel since it allows cancellation up to 24 hours without penalty. In addition, most direct booking through hotels do not take full payment up front.

True you get 1 free carry on but most people want to bring a luggage. True you don't have to pay for advance seat selection but I just went to vegas 2 weeks ago with my gf where they had the $28 flights and the seats we were assigned were not even together thus forcing us to pay that fee. All the hotels because it was during CES and AVn were pretty pricey and the only cheap hotel was stratosphere which would bring the entire total to about $300cdn or close to $500+ if you wanted a decent hotel.

I decided it wasn't worth it cause there were packages flying out of Van + planet hollywood for only $400 tax in cdn.

But it's all hit or miss. With their $28 specials under most circumstances it's quite a bit cheaper then any package you can find flying out of Vancouver but in this case it wasn't. YMMV

sucks to drive to bellingham though. my buddy went with allegiant and he picked some dumb extras and his came to $200US. i booked with westjet same week and mine was $275CAN. a little bit more for less hassle.

I went to Vegas with Allegiant over a year ago and I thought it was quite a decent trip and we ended up saving over $100 each over flying from YVR. Bellingham is super easy to get to from Langley, and parking was only $25 for a week.

400$ tax in for 1 or 2 ppl (how many nights? sounds like a good deal). I usually go to vegas once a year and always go through a package (when they have the fly 1 free thing) and i end up staying 4 nights 5 days for about 550ish (excalibur)
