This is getting to be so much more affordable than the 350z.
At least you can say "I bought this car" than "It's a birthday/christmas/graduation gift from daddy"
I think the performance was focused on the cayman when they're developing it. The reviews put it against the 135i because it's roughly the same price and has identical performance.

The Z is pretty unique in the marketplace now - not many companies have 2 seater RWD cars in this segment at that price point.
You could go BMW Z4, the S2000, Audi TT, or the Boxster/Cayman. Price wise, you would be looking at base versions of those cars and they wouldn't be close to the Z in terms of performance. Even S2k's run 50k now to start.
If you don't mind 2+2's, you could do the Genesis Coupe, the new Camaro, the updated Mustang, or a G37.

Its growing on me a bit...but I still like the 350Z because it looks 'tougher'. I think when we start seeing these with nice wheels, lowered and headlights that don't looks retarded, it'll be a pretty nice ride - especially for the price!

It's quite obvious the car is now priced to be directly competitive to the Hyundai Genesis Coupe...
coz otherwise similar specs the 370Z can't be toooooo much more than the Genesis coupe. You wouldn't say the Genesis Coupe is a minger considering how the 370Z looks....

Didn't the 350Z have huge dealer markup when it was first released? This car is a great value.
