Bell Mobility ? I know there have been previous threads on this topic, but they are pretty outdated. For those on bell whats your experience like? I am tired of getting jacked by fido and their city plan which is now like 50 bucks because I refuse to sign a contract with them. I pay like 70-80 bucks a month and I don't get data or anything cool. So I'm gonna jump ship. If there are reasons not to get bell let me know! I plan on getting the storm as well, the phone is too sick to not have. |

damn u pay $80 a month without data ? I pay $61.55 and I think I have the best plan ever. my plan. 200 daytime minutes free weekends and evenings after 6pm 500 mb of data 10,000 text messages caller id visual voicemail |
well any solid bell topic regarding customer service, coverage and what not goes back to 2007, im wondering if the recent guys with bell are liking whats going on. |
well I just signed with Bell on a 3 year contract and have the blackberry storm. One thing I don't like about Bell is that their customer service closes at 5. On the two occasions I called them, their service representatives were helpful and knowledgeable. Now the Blackberry Storm. It is not as sick as you might think it is. If you use your phone a lot for email and work stuff it might not be able to keep up. How do I describe this? hmm.... lets say you are in a conversation and you are trying to scroll through your emails or check your schedule on your phone. Well this thing is so slow that it can take upwards of 5 seconds just for something to show up on the screen. Also if you have a mac, the blackberry tools are not compatible with that. |
Jumping ship will only force you into a contract with Bell. Did you think of that? And it's not just Bell. Telus and Rogers too. |
yeah but when i refused to sign a contract with fido, they upped my city fido 5 more bucks which made it 50 bucks instead of 45 which used to be 40. i got a storm today. 60 bucks taxes in gets me (a month) 500mb data 250 daytime minutes unlimited texting sending/receiving unlimited calling after 6pm unlimted weekend called bell to bell unlimited emailing, unlimited instant messaging (msn, yahoo, fb,) caller id voice mail canada long distance - .10/m usa long distance - .20/m |
Friend of mine got pretty much the same plan but on Rogers. |
really ? damn i would of signed with rogers instead but the guy i talked to told me it would be roughly 70 bucks at rogers. so i decided to go to bell |
Too late. :) |

omg that is a winning plan. did you get it a long time ago? which provider? 20 + tax + saf in total for a whole month? jealous >< |
Corp. plan lol |
bell is great my SFU plan + retention add-ons: 300 mins 6pm E/W 2500 SMS unlimited mobile browser Bell to bell Caller ID/Voicemail Call waiting/call forwarding/conference calling/detailed billing SAF +911 included $25.xx after taxes If you want data, the HTC TOUCH is the way to go because it is the ONLY smartphone compatible with the unlimited mobile browser. This means you won't need to pay $30 for a data plan... mobile browser now costs $10 and is pretty shitty on most regular phones except for the Instinct which has an html browser (still sucks tho lol) can't wait until bell rolls out the HSPA network |
I'm being offered this plan 200min E/W 6pm Caller ID/Voicemail Call waiting/call forwarding/conference calling/detailed billing unlimited text and mobile browser ~27 before taxes should i bite? oh and what's a decent phone to get? don't need a data phone. |
Few things to think about: 1. Who is your current provider? 2. Tell your current provider (or retention dept.) that this is what you're being offered. 3. Your current provider will likely match it but if not, bite the offer with the other provider. :D |

Ah, okay. Maybe some of the other members here may have a better plan so maybe keep an eye out. I know nothing about plans. :p |
How's Bell? I'm looking to get a phone with Bell since they have a promotion running until Thursday for the HTC Touch Diamond. The bundle from the looks of it is relatively quite cheap as well. $35.25 + fees totals around 45 per month - 250 daytime minutes - unlimited evenings/weekends (6PM-7AM) - caller id + voice mail - 500mb data - unlimited text Seems very reasonable, but I lack experience with mobile cellphones and the such. Overall, how would you guys see this deal? Is Bell worth it since I hear a bunch of people always bad-mouthing it and Telus. The only thing that really sucks I guess is that it's CDMA. Thanks |
and do you have anything with bell ? like TV ? |
