Javelin on Crack: The 9300

OK, it's technically the "Gemini," and absolutely the 3G BlackBerry Curve 8900. Surprised the CrackBerry addicts here haven't posted this yet. :lol

  • The screen will be larger than the BlackBerry 8900, and that will also include a higher resolution
  • The CPU will also be beefed up. We’re not sure if this means it will include something more powerful than the Bold’s 624MHz processor or not, but we’d like to think so.
  • The device is said to be silver (think BlackBerry 8830)
  • The keyboard is a little more rounded than the BlackBerry 8900
  • The Send/End keys are rounded instead of being flat on the sides
  • Styling is not drastically different — it keeps with the 8900/Storm styling
  • It of course rocks quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA
  • Wi-Fi and GPS was not confirmed, but we’d say there’s about a 99.99% chance
  • Camera specs were not confirmed as well, but you can bet you’re looking at 3.2 megapixels or better

meh, the bold is still much better in terms of looks and key pad.

bcrdukes 02-09-2009 06:37 PM

I want. :)

ienhz 02-09-2009 06:38 PM

too bad it says they estimate a Q4 09 or Q1 10 release

LsquareD 02-09-2009 07:52 PM

Nice.. but I still like my Bold

Alphamale 02-10-2009 04:48 AM

Wow, the people who jumped on the 8900 wagon just got ass-fucked by the Hardon Collider.

This may finally persuade me to move to a BB.

Ooh...I want this! :D
I had considered the 8900 when I got my Bold, but I wanted the 3G for the MUCH better reception in my house.

I'll have to see if I can trade up when the 3G Javelin rolls around. (isn't it called the 8930?)

It's the 9300. 93xx.

hmm...strange that they would deviate from the numbering scheme...8900 was the Javelin line...but you're right...it's the 9300. Anyways, looks decent and hopefully it maintains the Javelin's size. I think the Bold is a little too bulky and could do with a little slimming down.

i wonder what number they'll use after they run out of 9XXX's.

jeff19 02-10-2009 08:23 PM

fuck me . i just got my 8900 a week ago ... :(

+Kardboard+ 02-10-2009 08:25 PM

That's pretty obvious.

BlackBerry 1,000,020, with WiFi! And three keyboards!

sexyflanders 02-10-2009 08:26 PM

^ 10000?

i don't like the silver. a good phone needs to have looks and brains.

+Kardboard+ 02-10-2009 08:51 PM

That was a joke, dear REVscene user. :lol
