Anyone know if there are any organized practices set up? Doing drills, one on ones, and heavy skating? I think it'd be a great work out, plus working on skill sets.

If you want something organized you're going to pay a premium. Canlan Ice Sports has an adult hockey academy with a whole bunch of different things (ie. stickhandling, skating etc.)

If money is an issue, just hit up some drop-in sessions/sticknpuck and practice there. Maybe bring a buddy and you guys can work on passing n stuff together.

Obviously it's all practice, and the more you do it, the better you will be. The more skilled players you play with, the better for you.

If you need ideas on moves n such, just hit up Youtube.

Both helmets are already in the system, and the Re-akt with the new Titanium cage is a REALLY good deal. Under $200 for high end helmet and their new lightweight cage (that doesnt look like the old itech bubble)

No idea when next F&F is.
Sorry to bring back an older post, just wanted to see if there is any new info on this helmet and ti cage.

My Oakley visor is getting pretty scuffed up but I don't want to buy another Oakley visor if leagues's insurance won't cover me since the Oakley's are not approved.

Did yours come with the nubuck/gecko nash overlay palm (same as retail) or the generic nash palm (like most pro gloves)?

It sounds crazy, but he was using a Bauer Total One when he skated with us. A couple other dudes swapped him sticks, and all agreed that it was a really nice stick to use.

im not quite sure, the guy i bought them off seems to have trouble grasping the english language lol, he basically sent me all these super close up pictures of the gloves, and from the looks of it is seems to have the generic palm but the double layer?

but then in other pictures which i thought were of the X60's he was selling they looked like they had the gecko but all the X60's ive seen for sale do not have the gecko overlay so i'll have to wait and see when they arrive

Do inline hockey skates fit the same as ice hockey skates? I have ice skates right now and they're 6.5Ds would getting the same size in the same brand work? I'm looking at ordering them through hockeymonkey.

Try them in store before ordering just to make sure.

Pre-bauer Missions were supposed to fit true to shoe size, but I found they didn't actually. Different Bauer lines also fit differently based on foot volume and depth, not just the numerical sizing. I find the Euro sizing to be fairly consistent across all lines and brands though. My skates are a 41 Euro, which ranges from a 7-8 depending on the skate.

Regardless buying skates online without trying them on first is a crapshoot, I've been pretty lucky the few times I've done it but do your research in advance to give yourself the best chance at success.

Does anyone here use T'Blades or know someone who does? It intrigues me that there are overwhelmingly positive reviews online but if you talk to shops, they're almost all against it.

Any experience or insight? (Other than "don't be THAT guy")

Curious because I'm considering it.

Generally good, but ugly. They also tend to be quite loud on the ice with a distinctive sound when they cut into the ice. You can hear someone with Tblades coming from a mile away. It doesnt affect performance or anything, it just sounds funny.

And you wont find the replacement blades anywhere around here. You'll probably have to get them shipped.
