Coming from a 4500, 8500, and 9500 cage, the reakt definitely doesn't disappoint.

agreed.
My half shield fogs up while on the bench. If you're moving it's good to go, but a man needs some time to catch his breath.

Some people use pledge.

I just use a towel to wipe it dry between shifts.

A cage has saved me numerous times from severe facial injuries. Couple seasons ago, a goalie kicked me in the face after his d-Man rode me into his net and took him out. I probably would have broken my jaw and lost many teeth. As annoying as it is, we're not doing this professionally and would rather be safe than sorry.

wear a mouthguard .

as for fog issues... I have used the Hejduk, bauer pro series, and oakley visors, and none of them really fogged up. The spray I do use to clean the visor is the oakley AFR spray, but currently, the one that came with my Hejduk visor.

I am serious about using Pledge to keep the visor from fogging up.
As I kid, I use to use dish soap as well.

Got back on my skates yesterday after an eight-month hiatus, though, I didn't gear up just a fast-paced public skate with a few buddies.

Man my Synergy SE10s really do last forever.

Try mounting the visor further away from your face. They usually fog up due to a lack of ventilation.

you should do stick and puck.... this way you get the feel of the stick in your hands and you get to shoot the puck around

I'll give the dish soap/fog spray a try. I'm in net 80% of the time, but there are those days I'd like to put one or three in the back of the net.

Are you talking those Paul Kariya-type ones?

When I had a X100 (itech, but now bauer) it never fogged once. Maybe they changed the design or something

I've always used a cage, but I've also tried a visor. Honestly I don't mind either one.
