Sony should stick to making mass-consumer electronics while Ericsson should stick to making network equipment.

the idou looks nice, is it purely touch screen, or is there a keyboard hidden somewhere?

Dunno about the Idou and if it has a keypad in there too or not. I think it's all touch.

It also runs Symbian Foundation, the first handset to run that? Whatever Symbian Foundation is lol

They should've. It was killed to death just recently.

Thank God. Now the next step should be for Sony and Ericsson to stop making phones. :lol

^ I'm actually drooling for either the Idou or W995. I think design-wise SE is superior to Nokia and Samsung.

i dont get y anyone would want a vertical screen when u can use a horizontal wide screen

one insider said its vertical because it uses A200 platform which doesnt fully support landscape mode.


idou is very ambitious phone. flaunting the SF OS is too early. i hope they meet thier deadline otherwise its going to be another X1 release style. wait for a year.

Design wise and build quality, Samsung takes the prize, however, I haven't used their version of S60. With their normal phones, their UI is restrictive. Another thing they could work on would be their keyboards (which always tends to be a completely flat surface). Then again, I have fairly conservative views on how a cellphone should look and I strongly dislike the gaudy-teenage-honger-trash shit SE churns out.

Nokia makes nice phones, but with their N-series, the build quality is fail.

SE is garbage, slightly above Motorola.

I actually quite like SE. their phones are simple and easy to use. Even though their UI is simple, it makes sense and its easy on the eyes : P

Nokia's are pretty good. But they get so boring so quickly especially how everything's laid out.. iono.. it just bores me.
