Actually many of our celebrity pop culture heros started out as gun-packing criminals so it's no surprise people want to emulate it and feel powerful

I don't really get it..like are there legal stipulations in puting in tough laws on things?

You want distracted driving to end? Make the ticket $500

You want people to be scared to carry a gun? Anyone with an unregistered/illegal hand gun in their possession gets automatic 3 year

The 18 year old in Abby was killed due to a on going conflict between two groups which includes adults in Abby. I've heard it's two families beefing.

And I believe the police issued a public warning a few months ago. Supposedly cars including a Maserati and homes were been damaged and the public warning was issued so no one would get seriously hurt or killed because shit was escalating. Guess the public warning didn't work.

unlawful possession of a loaded firearm does carry automatic minimum sentence actually 3 years exactly if i recall correctly

problem is with our justice system being as weak as it is the majority of those caught just end up cutting deals with crown pleading guilty to much lesser charge essentially making the minimum sentence irrelevant in many cases

What would the holidays be without jingling bells and the popping of bullets as they're fired on our streets?

ok this is pretty fucked up,

Quote:
EDMONTON (NEWS1130) – Police confirm the deaths of nine people, including children, at three separate crime scenes in Edmonton in an apparent murder suicide.

Police responded to a weapon’s complaint on Monday evening. Upon arrival, they found the body of a middle-aged woman.

Later Monday evening, officers responded to a suspicious circumstances call at a separate address, only to leave and return to the same address at approximately midnight, following a secondary check-on-welfare call involving a suicidal male.

At that time, officers were unable to locate the suicidal male, but upon entry, discovered seven bodies; three adult females, two adult males and two young children.

Homicide detectives later located the body of a man at a restaurant in Fort Saskatchewan, who matched the description of the suicidal male associated with the second homicide scene.

The identities of the deceased are not being released at this time, until cause of deaths can be determined, identities can be confirmed and next of kin can be notified.

there was a drive-by in richmond yesterday

Quote:
Richmond RCMP officers are investigating a drive-by shooting on Garden City Road Tuesday morning.

Acting Corporal Dennis Hwang said in a news released that no one was injured after shot were fired at a vehicle in the 8400-block of Garden City about 9:30 a.m.

He said a black sport-utility vehicle was seen leaving the area.

“At this point little is known about what occurred. Richmond RCMP serious crimes unit is on scene along with the Forensic Identification Unit gathering evidence,” he said. “At this time no suspect has been identified however this does not appear to be a random act.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at or by email at Richmond_tips@rcmp-grc.gc.ca
