Your knees looks like it will be fucked, I'm surprised it's not on the news, how do you justify driving on the wrong side to hit the bus. Luckily it wasn't a private car being driven. Someone probably would have died considering they have rams on their front bumpers.

whitev70r 06-05-2021 02:19 PM

Here are some deets. Don't usually speak ill of the dead but c'mon, you're 44, a grown ass man! Still involved in that shit ?! Now look at you! Play stupid games ... looks like you won a stupid prize ...a bullet!

Man shot to death in South Vancouver sued for alleged drug money

https://theprovince.com/news/vancouv...6-1e3e03865b6e
A Vancouver man shot to death near his southeast Vancouver home Friday was “known to associate with members of criminal organizations,” according to a B.C. government lawsuit filed in March.

Alvis Anjesh Singh, 44, was found fatally injured inside his vehicle across from River Front Park near Kent Avenue and Kerr Street about 10 p.m., VPD media officer Const. Tania Visintin said.

As in other recent gangland murders, a burning SUV was found minutes after the shooting near Sexsmith Elementary School at West 59th Avenue and Ontario Street.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A serious crash involving an unmarked Vancouver Police SUV and a bus at 41st Avenue between Knight Street and Dumfries Street sent two officers to the hospital Friday night.

At around 11:00 p.m., officers from the Emergency Response Section were called to reports of a man with a gun in a home in the area of Rupert Street and East 29th Avenue.

According to the Vancouver Police Department, the officers were driving to the scene with their sirens and lights on, and that’s when the police vehicle collided with the bus head-on, closing the area down for several hours.

Both officers had to be extracted from the car by firefighters and were rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries.

VPD say the officers are both undergoing treatment for broken legs.

The driver of the bus was also taken to hospital, his injuries are not life-threatening.

According to BC Emergency Health Services, a total of six people were taken to the hospital. Two are in critical condition and four others are in stable condition.

Video circulating online following the crash shows a large police presence closing off the crash site, with dozens of police officers and first responders descending on the area.

So who are the 2 in critical condition then? Bus passengers? Odd the article only goes into slight detail for the officers involved and bus driver, if there are also 2 in critical

Razor Ramon HG 06-05-2021 05:32 PM

The two police officers are the ones in critical condition, they collided head on with the bus and had to be extracted from the vehicle.

Interestingly, eyewitness accounts from Reddit say the unmarked VPD SUV did not have siren or lights on, but VPD spokesman says they were on at time of accident.

They always say that they have their lights on, been caught bs'ing a few times over the years

Gumby 06-05-2021 06:49 PM

But if you were a judge, and there was no video evidence, who would you believe, VPD or a random eyewitness?

Yeah, it sucks...

Yeah, it sucks...

Translink most likely has dashcam or onboard footage. I wonder if you can submit a freedom of information request.

My money is on them not being on either. If you watch that video on Reddit you can clearly see the taillights still running but no emergency lights on... also the other video from the porch shows the bus slowing down and collision happening while the bus is still moving forward. I would think if the bus driver noticed emergency lights coming his/her way the bus would have already been stopped on the side of the road.

Hondaracer 06-05-2021 08:50 PM

Shit happens..but it’s likely outside of protocol

There's also sound in the porch clip - only hear screeching sound of tires, no sirens.

Someone was shot in Langley

Quote:

The victim was found screaming in a ditch in the area of 264 Street and 60 Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Sunday after Mounties were called to shots fired.

Langley RCMP say the victim — who is known to police — is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

4 mass shootings in 6 hours leave 39 wounded, 5 dead across US

https://abcnews.go.com/US/mass-shoot...ve_twopack_hed

At least four major U.S. cities were reeling from an onslaught of mass shootings over the weekend that left at least 39 people wounded, five dead and police officials alarmed that the surge in gun violence is a prelude to a bloody summer as the nation emerges from the pandemic.

68style 06-13-2021 09:53 PM

^ I saw some headline last week from some USA newspaper that was doing a shallow dive into shootings and the article started out with "Prepare yourself for the bloodiest summer for gun violence ever in the USA"

I was thinking to myself... if you know this is going to happen... you're sure enough it twill happen that you tell people to prepare... you are expecting it now to happen... but you're telling me there's absolutely nothing that can be done about it and no one can stop it from happening? In a first world country? Really?

What good does it do if you're building good rep around the world giving away 500 million doses of Pfizer to poor countries if your own country operates worse than the poor countries you're giving vaccines away to?

For context, the US classifies more than 3 as mass shooting.

The first shooting is gang related - it was a drive by. Second shooting is also gang related. Third one, seems random but cop friend says it's probably targeted - they unloaded and missed a bunch.

They don't even talk about the 4th one, Cleveland.

Seems like media sensationalist headlines. I was expecting random mass shooting like the Los Vegas Massacre, the shootings in Boulder, CO, or the Dallas BLM shooting in 2016.

Lady pulled a gun on customers at a mall in vancouver wa the other day

And I read some lady in texas was shooting at her neighbours puppy, because it got loose, and she ended up shooting her toddler

Police gave the dog owner a citation cuz his dog got loose, and arrested the lady only because in her attempt to shoot the dog, she fired towards occupied homes
