Always Florida :lol |
Reading that story was fascinating by the way, and confirms some stories I've heard from friends that live in Texas and Tennessee. The two kids both 14 and 15 carried pistols that they got from breaking into cars. My friends that live down there would always say how people leave their guns straight up in their cars, without a single thought about them getting stolen, often times these cars are left unlocked. Imagine having a culture of guns where it's totally normal to just have a Glock sitting in your car at all times, even while unattended. That's insane that at the very least there isn't law in place to which your firearm should always be kept in a safe location, like here in Canada. |
Yeah it's a weird culture for sure. Owning an F150 and being on the forums some of the most popular threads are how to mount your gun in your truck for quick access to it in case you know, someone were to come up to your window and you need to kill them. |
For some people, guns always have to be within hands reach. That's why some people have guns in every room. Larger rooms have multiple. Americans are idiots. |
I wonder if the propensity for killing people would go down just by (I cannot surmise how and am not an expert) teaching more about what it actually means to kill someone else -- not just the oh they're dead now side of it, but the totality of their life being erased and what it meant to everyone else they knew as well? Value of human life lessons? I'm not sure... but seems like there's a situational disconnect at play down there with your own personal space/tolerances and what it means to end someone else's existence based on someone potentially crossing a line they may not have even been aware existed since those personal space/tolerances were your own making in the first place and vary person to person. |

I mean *I* knew they wouldn't just randomly cook off in the car, but the wife was not comfortable with that, since we had a 4 month old with us. |
it's wild that the fight is over who was getting more presents between these 2 boys, and the sister was trying to break up the argument scolding one of them, and his response is pull out a gun, threaten to shoot her, and then shoot her. wtf did he think was going to happen? she would respawn at point? |
I wonder if this is one way for them to control the population of the stupid? |
Americans as a generalization have the worst main character syndrome of any nation. It happens because people just don't give a fuck about others |

Now that I'm older I've started to pivot on that stance. The amount of shooting games, the amount of movies and shows that glorify shooting a person, with no consequences, with no display of what an actual gunshot does to a person. I'm truly starting to think this has a part to play in the narrative of America. |
Another one, similar situation as the Florida shooting that I was talking about, the 10 year old found a gun in his dad's car, ended up shooting another kid because he lost a bicycle race to him. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...ace-rcna132003 Insane. |
Should have hidden the results of the bike race and told them both they're both winners |

I didn’t even hear about this NYE shooting in Vegas until I was on the plane home last night. https://www.ktnv.com/news/suspect-fi...rip-police-say Guess no one died so no biggie BrokeBack |

This guy wasn't a criminal, he wasn't an example of "bad guys will just get guns anyways" He's just a paranoid mentally ill person who's totally lost his mind due to life circumstances and has a gun because he could just walk into a store and buy one out of fear. |
This isn't shooting thing per se, but similar incidents involving threats and arson seem to be happening in Surrey, Abbotsford, Edmonton, and Ontario too. As my knowledge about the Indo-Canadian community is sorely lacking, I'm wondering if other more knowledgable RSers would be able to share your views on the issue for me? |
Stay classy Surrey ! |
Buddy guy doing Surrey Jack things? Nothing new just like back home |
seems like a very 'old world' type of thing, ala mafia / sopranos. Spoiler! i don't really understand it, how many local non-corporate business has $2m liquid cash to cough up? i guess they're not scared of making the new or our local authorities |
They can't even spell. Probably a group of some idiot international students that can't afford entertainment and trolling for some giggles. |
It's clearly someone that has no understanding of how it actually works. Like asking some small business for 2 million was like the scene in Austin powers where doctor evil asked for 100 billion dollars. |
are the only 'owners' in the old country millionaires, that's where the $ # came from? or maybe they meant the old country's currency and not cdn dollars :lol |
2 million rupees |
Why don't these fucks go try and extort those trucking companies like Chohan instead of decent hard-working small-business owners?? Oh probably cause they're bigger and more sophisticated criminals than they are. |
My dad shared his thought. He was extorted back in the days. He worked in an office - real estate flipping back in the days. The guy comes in asking for money. My dad was hilarious.. he said sure.. let me know who I can write the check to. He said "cash.." well this is an office, there is no such thing as petty cash. Kept saying I'll give you money, I can write checks.. just don't hurt me... low life didn't know how to pivot and left. Hilarious. |
