There has been another shooting in Surrey. Witnesses say shots were fired near 122nd Street and 72nd Avenue. There are unconfirmed reports at least one person has been hit with a bullet.

There's been yet another shooting in Metro Vancouver, which makes it the sixth in two days. Surrey RCMP say two people were shot at a gas station on 122nd and 72A, near Strawberry Hill Mall.
SURREY (NEWS1130) -

Inspector Dave Walsh says the two victims, both men, are in hospital with non life threatening injuries.

"I believe one was in a lower extremity and the other one was shot in the head but again, not serious."

One was out pumping gas into the car, and the other was in the vehicle when they were shot. Walsh has little information on the suspects, and says witnesses report seeing a man run into a beige get-away car.

He says it's too soon to know if this is a gang shooting because they haven't even identified the victims yet but he says it does look targeted.



One customer was sitting inside the Tim Hortons when a man came screaming in, claiming he'd been shot.

"The guy came running and he was screaming ... he came screaming, he said 'somebody shot me', that's what had happened. .. he was a black guy, he was as young guy, seems to be 20's,30's or something like that...he was shot in the leg, the right leg."

wow a black guy now. last 2 days its been white guy, punjabi guy, fijian, south asian (i think he was hindu or muslim) and now a black guy getting shot. iraq/iranian guys arrested for attempted murder, persians arrested for hallow points and guns today. this truly is the united nations. lol

I work at the Home Depot behind the theater and after I got off, the whole gas station was taped off with like dozens of cops everywhere..

Sorry to correct you but he didn't get arrested for Hollow Points, he got arrested for Armor-Piercing Bullets which are usually coated in telfon or something to go through kevlar. You can legally obtain Hollow Points in Canada to my knowledge for use in Rifles.

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Vancouver Police are investigating an overnight shooting on Anzio Drive near East 20th in East Vancouver. It happened around 2:00 a.m. and investigators say it appears to be a targeted hit.

One man is in hospital, but there's no word yet on his condition.

Damn....The Anzio/E. 20th shooting is on the same block as where my co-worker lives. And he's on vacation. I hope his 20-something year old kid isn't involved.
