yeah, because being compared to LA crime rates is exactly what we should be aiming for. it just means we've already lost.

doesnt mean they werent in the area when the war was happening, UN is full of guys that are in their late 20's and 30's and a bunch of them are iranians

Iran is not a war zone and most of these Iranian guys come from well to do families.

Honestly I have no idea why rich kids get involved, I guess for fun maybe too much disposable income? I grew up with two guys, lived on the west side their entire lives because their grandpa is a multi-millionaire. One of them got married a couple years ago and he gave him money to build a house by UBC but they sell drugs and hang with shady characters. I remember some Persian Pride members back in my HS days that had empty houses to themselves in West Vancouver while their parents sat in Iran who sent them money every month.
