Man assaulted and killed in Richmond Man assaulted and killed in Richmond Last Updated: Wednesday, March 11, 2009 | 10:14 PM PT Comments2Recommend0 CBC News A man died in Richmond on Wednesday evening as a result of an assault in a home, police said. The BC Ambulance Service was called to the scene around 5:30 p.m. PT and arrived to find the man in "severe medical distress." Several hours spent at the scene trying to revive the man, who was in his twenties, were unsuccessful. Police were there investigating Thursday night. They said the man died in the residence — in the 6300-block of Swift Avenue, near Number 2 road — after being attacked with a weapon. It is unclear whether the man was the target of a planned attack, police said, but they believe the killing was not gang-related. Police would not disclose the weapon used to assault the man. Several people who were present in the home were taken to the Richmond RCMP detachment for questioning. |

Its ridiculous how much protection the Bacon brothers and their associates are getting. Theres always atleast one or two police cruisers and a black Suburban or somtimes Expedition parked outside the building where one of them lives. Tempted to snap some photo's. |

With all the money involved, I would not be surprised at all if they were in cahoots with them. Corruption can, and does, happen. Dare I say there is probably more money flowing in B.C. than in Chicago during prohibition? 6 billion was the estimate... Sure, people might scoff, but you'd think they'd be able to catch them on SOMETHING. Someone is getting paid off, without a doubt. |

Under the guise of "protection", when it could very well be that they are merely facilitating the business and keeping the money flowing? |
