After this past month or so, I wouldn't be surprised at any shooting unless it was at a neighborhood like Shaunessy.

BURNABY (NEWS1130) - All the signs are there -- another targeted shooting in the Lower Mainland.

Mounties arrived at a Shell gas station at Kingsway and Patterson in Burnaby just after 3 a.m. to find a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police say it's too early to tell if it's gang related.

They have isolated the shooting to the victim's home and believe that is where he shot, however, he's been uncooperative with investigators.

RCMP Inspector Grant Wilson says the victim is expected to recover.

"He appears to be in his early 30s. He was conscious when he left, but I have heard nothing that his situation was life-threatening at this time."

The shooting happened very close to where call-girl Tammy Murray was killed in 2007.

Police should be releasing more information later today.

Possible shootings in PoCo last night. I heard a shot go off around 10:30 and then police helicopter and cop cars all over the place. This was in the old Terry Fox area.

It's really scary to think how many guns are on the streets and what kind of people own and have access to them.

Stop being a pussy.

This isn't Iraq.

Christ you can go your whole life in Vancouver without hearing gunshots, where as when I was in Costa Rica, if you DIDN'T hear gunshots at night, it was an odd night.

It's more scary to think that 6 billion dollars in illegal drug trade is happening in B.C., and the number of cops, judges, and politicians that money is buying.
