i feel the same way, except for that fact that usually when this happens, there are more innocent casualties than the 'gangsters' they kill probably.

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - An early morning shooting in Vancouver has left one man in hospital. The victim is a bouncer at a nightclub downtown. It was shortly after 1 a.m. a man got into an argument with the doorman of the Barcelona Lounge on Granville Street.

At some point the man pulled out a gun and fired several shots, the bouncer was hit in the leg.

Vancouver Police Constable Lindsey Houghton says the suspect is a 32-year-old man from Alberta. "The man in custody is facing numerous weapons, firearms and assault related charges. We could be looking at charges relating from firearms charges all the way up to possibly attempted murder charges. He is known to police."

The victim has non-life threatening injuries.

Houghton is praising the witnesses who chased down and held him until police arrived.

Of all the years I went clubbing, I have never had an issue with bouncers. In fact, most of them were very courteous and polite and were simply there to do their jobs, ensuring a safe atmosphere for patrons. I'm sure there are a few out there who cross their boundaries but its unfortunate that they all get grouped into the same bag of bad apples.

While I may not know this "Rock" character nor have I ever encountered a bouncer of such stature, in the grand scheme of things, as the old saying goes, "What goes around, comes around."

anyone know if "The Rock" was a part-time teacher as well?

i used to know a guy who fits that description who actually was like a teachers aid at my highschool back in the day, was a bouncer the whole time as well and also when i myself worked downtown

i was joking.. but obviously there are little to no repercussions to carrying around loaded hand guns, so if i have my own registered hand gun on my person, id expect nothing more than the equivalent of a unsafe lane change ticket when i get searched
