It was a case of road rage. The guy that died was a friends, best friends cousins husband. The guy was recently marrried and had been in canada for only a month. Its a completely senseless and immoral act that someone has commited.

i thought it may have turned out to be road rage since the police didn't issue the usual comments of "known to police" etc
simply despicable... wow

Fuck, I drive there all the time.
Holy shit, sounds like something that happens in Brazil from time to time. And what pisses me off the most is that the bullshit justice here in Canada will only give this guy like 10 years in jail, if he is caught. I hope he's not a citizen, so we can throw his ass on a plane or something.
We *need* tougher laws in Canada for illegal possession of firearms. Bet that he didn't have a permit.

I am, however, in favor of HARSH penalties for people caught without a permit/with an unregistered weapon. Are you against that? Do you think it should be the current system where people get probation for firearms offenses? Because, seriously, someone caught with an illegal gun will give two shits about probation. |

The problem is, if you start putting the criminals in jail, you'll soon run out of room. So you need new jails to be built, which aren't cheap. Next thing you know, your political opponents are calling you "wasteful". Where the hell are the Liberals going to put the criminals?
Oh yeah, the Liberals let them walk because criminals are victims in the Liberal view. |

So I heard the victim in the Surrey shooting was running away from someone and it had to do with drugs/money.
