I just love how you brought up that if they lose this year that it's because of chemistry LOL after 82 games.. 3 playoff rounds...
Your argument is invalid right here. You must think this is the NHL. 1 season doesn't mean shit in the NBA. Let's make it short, it's not easy to make 2 premier ball hogs work together. And please do not cite the All-Star or Olympic games. Do you notice it's not until later that Bron started to be the one who make the last shot? Do you remember they went through that losing streak just a few months ago prompting Spo to slipped "guys are crying in the locker room". Or when Bosh came out of the closet and called for more touches.
That's the difference between people who actually follow the NBA and the fair weather fans who only tune in watch the playoffs. Of course it's only natural for the average fans to assume 3 superstar equal automatic championships. People even predicted them to go 72-10 before the season started.
The point is if Miami fail this year, I wouldn't call it a failure. If they fail the next one too while being totally healthy, then there's an issue.

To me, they have an alright chemistry together.
They started with an 8-9 record, followed by winning streaks and rough patches like the events you mentioned. But they ended up with the 2nd best record in the east, lost to philly and boston once in the playoffs, and won 4 straight to close out the bulls.
I dont see any problem here with chemistry in the playoffs, where it counts.
Chemistry you mentioned in the regular season was part of the regular season. Theres no way any team goes through the season without some sort of conflict. Of course chemistry and health will be concerns, but good/great teams should have this figured out by the playoffs-and this is where I see miami.
Now, I do take back if miami lost this year, it would be a total failure because I really dont want to see them win . But like you mention they are facing a dallas team with good depth.
Now if you were to ask me if I see them winning in the next few years? Of course i do.
^ What's funnier is how you saved his comment or actually looked it up again just so you can make a point as to how you thought you'd be the only miami heat fan here LOL...
I actually liked Marion guarding Wade. Then Dirk/Chandler can try to jus contain bosh.
I know they've done this for a while but I've never liked how they made it a 2-3-2 schedule just for the finals.. I mean.. can't they keep it the same as the other rounds? (2-2-1-1-1)

I didn't look it up, I was sifting through this thread from exactly about a year ago because I found it interesting to see what people were saying a year from today about the league. Interestingly enough, I came across that...and of course I'm not a big fan of those who jumped on the bandwagon, and I'm sure most people aren't either...
Shaq was a Top 5 player of all time at his peak. Arguably the most dominant player of all time when he was in his prime in 1999-2000. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to keep at that level for too long.
wont be missed? really? not only is he one of the best big man ever to play the game, he also has a huge personality that no one in the league has today
dont forget, he took orlando to the finals in '95, and i would say his prime was from his rookie year in '92 (monster rookie year) right up to '06 when he won the title with miami
shaq ftw, will definitely be missed, howard cant touch him when it comes to dominance, not quite yet
Won't be missed? He was greatly missed during the last 2 all-star games, and I'm sure he will be missed whether it meant being on the court or sitting on the bench all season.
That said, I'm sure it won't be long before Shaq finds another gig to keep us entertained...
I'll miss Shaq for sure.. I don't know what NIkko is smoking over there.. wow...lol
Didn't he say before that he'll join the law enforcement or something after he retires? lol
He has already.

O'Neal maintained a high level of interest in the workings of police departments and became personally involved in law enforcement. O'Neal went through the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Reserve Academy and became a reserve officer with the Los Angeles Port Police. He appeared in a commercial for ESPN in Miami Police garb climbing a tree to rescue LSU's costumed mascot Mike the Tiger.
On March 2, 2005, O'Neal was given an honorary U.S. Deputy Marshal title and named the spokesman for the Safe Surfin' Foundation; he served an honorary role on the task force of the same name, which tracks down sexual predators who target children on the Internet.
Upon his trade to Miami, O'Neal began training to become a Miami Beach reserve officer. On December 8, 2005, he was sworn in, but elected for a private ceremony to avoid distracting attention from the other officers. He assumed a $1 per year salary in this capacity. Shortly thereafter, in Miami, O'Neal witnessed a hate crime (assaulting a man while calling out homophobic slurs) and called Miami-Dade police, describing the suspect and helping police, over his cell phone, track the offender. O'Neal's actions resulted in the arrest of two suspects on charges of aggravated battery, assault, and a hate crime.
