Lakers are doing ok this season. Losing Odom and Brown really messed up their team. It looks like they're struggling in Mike Brown's system. Unless Kobe goes into beast mode, they're barely winning or keeping it close. With Blake being injured, their second unit is having a real tough time scoring. Artest/World Peace needs to step his game up. Am I the only one that hates this rookie Morris? He turns the ball over way too much and tries too hard.

Artest/World Peace needs to step his game up. Am I the only one that hates this rookie Morris? He turns the ball over way too much and tries too hard. | Because he's a rookie. Rookies make rookie mistakes all the time. Plus he's only a 2nd round pick. Artest is hopeless and needs to be amnestied.
The new system took a lot of player out of their rhythm. Gasol was perfect in the triangle because he's a excellent passer. The triangle gives the offense a nice rhythm because it takes what the defense gives it. Brown's playbook is traditional and contains a number of sets you have to run. and you can't teach an old dog new trick, which is why LA plays excellent defense but struggle on the offense. The triangle also doesn't require a PG, that's why Fish thrived for so long. With the new system, they need a penetrating guard to penetrate and draw double team, opening up the shooters like Kapono and Murphy.
Changing the system isn't gonna happen so they need to make trade to accommodate the system aka. trading for a pure PG. Hello Deron Williams. Getting Dwight isn't gonna help anything.
And Dwayne Wade coming off the bench? You know you're ballin' when you have D Wade coming off the bench.

Metta World Peace is not performing. He looks lost and useless this season. Very disappointing. |

The bench is not the sole problem though. They can hardly score with the big 3 because there's no point guard. Mike Brown's system requires a full time point guard and he doesn't have one. Steve Blake is a bench player at best.
Ron Artest was around to defend the opponent best player. Now Mike Brown don't even have a use for him. He have no energy, can't score in transition (god forbid, can't score anywhere anytime) so he's useless coming off the bench.
Get Deron Williams already. He's the league best PG and probably playing like shits because doesn't want to stay with the Nets.
1. Straight trade Gasol for Williams, the Nets guarantee to bite. Kobe Deron Bynum is fucking beast. Instant contender.
2. Amnesty Artest and get a shooter who can hit the 3.
3. Profit.
Or you know, get rid of Mike Brown and hire Brian Shaw to run the triangle.

Well, if the NBA doesn't like trading star players, then getting a new coach will do?

I doubt Stern will have any say ever. He caused a huge backlash vetoing the Paul to Lakers trade. And that was NO, the team controlled by the league. He'll just tell Dan Gilbert and Mark Cuban to fuck off next time
New coach or not, they still need to unload Gasol while they can to get back an elite player. The Lakers don't do rebuilding. They trade one old elite player for a younger one. They're the best sport team in LA, they need to stay relevant.

Or you know. In a perfect world: Bynum for Howard and Gasol for Williams. Then it would be like: "What Lob City? Prepare thy anus" |

Lakers need help..bad....no PG = disaster for them.
10pt first quarter.. bet you Kobe's getting more and more frustrated every time he doesn't get the ball when he wants it

I need to stop watching this hopeless team play it's a fucking waste of time. What's the point of playing starters in garbage minutes. To practice? Practice what? Practice getting 3s in the face?
I think the fans are starting to lose patience and somebody gonna get hurt real bad.

feel so sad watching the lakers and kobe. he's still trying on the court but inside i think he's torn. i think it's only a matter of time before something is done or kobe's going to say something. pau gasol sucks bigtime. he's still a good player but he needs a new environment. he's done in LA. trade everyone except kobe, barnes, mcroberts and bynum.

I doubt Westbrook will make the team. Billups will most likely get the call.
Aldridge is a maybe. I think Griffin will get the call though.
And Bosh instead of Chandler.
