1. The Lakers organization doesnt owe it to me. They should owe it to their fans, which including me, who are the one paying to see them play. Fans have every right to bitch when the team is clearly sulking. It's healthy for the team as it forces management to make decisions benefiting the team.

2. Because the league own the Hornets, they should absolutely kill that franchise by drafting mediocre players? It doesn't matter that the league own the Hornets. The league should act in the best interest of the Hornets--that is letting them have a chance to contend. By your logic, it's ok for small market teams to suck as long as they make money?
