Durant's shot, yea I would say it's luck and skill combined, like 50/50... he floated it up with extra arc to get it over the outstretched hands of defenders, if he didn't do that he wouldn't have gotten the soft bounce, so he's lucky marion and the secondary defender forced him to arc it, if it was a normal arced shot it would have clunked off the front rim hit the backboard hard enough to fly back out..
it still takes skill pull it off though, you got to have a good feel for shooting the ball which durant does
A floater is a very tough shot to truly master and 'luck' is exactly what it's designed for.....So really, I wouldn't call it lucky....Floaters are supposed to be a soft high-arching toss in the air so that you are more likely to get the bounce in your favour. Also, if Marion and Mahinimi didn't force him to take a high arching shot, he wouldn't have shot it as a floater and it would've been a regular elbow jumper for him.
yea you right normal one handed floaters require extreme skill (CP3, D.Rose..etc) but that thing Durant did, it was a jumpshot and halfway up he turned it into a floater, I guess he's comfortable with it cause of his 7'4 wingspan...
and come to think of it I see him do those at least once a game, so yea probably more skill than luck involved for him at least
yall watchin the Jazz & Spurs game right now ??
