These memes are pretty stupid. Might be correct some 5 years ago but not now. Kobe made a costly boo boo in game 2 but other than that, he's been the guy who will the rest of this souless squad (save for Ron, who's been giving it all) to these close games.
He has maybe one or two elite seasons left in him. You guys should be thankful to still get to watch his greatness, Lakers fan or not. That's how I feel when I watch the Boston's Big 3 and even the Spurs no matter how I hate their guts. Go ahead and blame him for throwing people under the bus. Did you watch Gasol play this evening? He was great. Sometimes you gotta do these "tough love" to get people to respond. Phil did it all the time. So does Pop. Remember when RJ sucked so bad prompted Pop to call him "playing like dog". He responded the next game.
I hope both LA teams come back strong next year. Will be a feast to watch.
Lakers only trade chip is Bynum younger and a nicer contract even then he's a head case and has shown immaturity. But Jim Buss loves Bynum. Kobe isn't going anywhere, Gasol turns 32 and has 30 mill and 2 years left and the way he played in the last 2 playoffs the Lakers can't expect a great return. Lakers will not get Dwight or D-Will no cap room and not enough trade pieces, the only all-star type player they might get is Josh Smith.
This is a surprising comment from MWP. The closest thing to a voice of reason for the Lakers after elimination:
"I don't feel that way, but I'm not the general manager," World Peace said. "I don't know how many rings Mr. Kupchak has, so I know he's going to make the best decisions. He's a competitor. He'll do what it takes, but the players have to put in the time. The only way it's going to happen is if we do it together. We have to be committed to each other, and this year we weren't as committed collectively. That hurt us."
So what does Kupchak do in the offseason? The Lakers bench needs a overhaul bigtime. Does Gasol want to stay with the Lakers after all the trade rumour drama involving him this season? So many questions for the Lakeshow.
After watching Bynum last night he needs to go, it's in his best interest and also the Lakers organization, he will never live up to his potential in Los Angeles, this is clear by now to even the most casual fans.. He's been a zombie for a while now, he's uninterested, bored, carefree and just overall doesn't give a fuck any more.
You couldn't buy a reaction out of him last night even after a few bad calls against him. When one of your best player wears this face not just on the bench, but on the fucking court the whole damn time on more games than not, something needs to be done.
I really hope Kupchak gets permission to move him, Gasol stays, but he just needs a long vacation
and where the fuck has Barnes been, he's supposed to bring that aggression and warlike mentality to the Lakers, it's why Kobe brought him in.... Kobe said Ron is the only one he can count on when going to battle, but instead Matt is just seen assholing on the court, there's a major difference between soldier and asshole Matt, for fucks sake

The loss was the best thing that cudve happened to the lakers. I personally wud rather keep bynum than gasol( I'm not Jus saying that cuz Im a fan). I think sessions is better off the bench as the 6th or 7th man (if they re-sign him)and they sign a true starter.
If gasol leaves they cud try n sign a hustle type pf like humphries or ilyasova if they cud. They cud then try n get mayo, beasley who r both rfa.
Id love to have Aaron brooks here too but Jus noticed Hes also an rfa and likely be nash' replacement in phx.
Aaron Brooks was while in Houston at least turning into a potential All Star the way he was playing, for a while he was one of the toughest PG's to play against night in and night out, dude was havin 30 point games on a regular. But then he got traded and got lost in the shuffle, a damn shame... he's still young though, should be able to find his way back somewhere

....It's hard to play to your full potential, or anywhere close to it, when you have a such a short leash....Lakers roster has GREAT talent...They can make all the changes they want but I don't think it will make a difference....the team "leader" and the coach failed to get the best out of their players....
More drama in the Magic Kingdom after Howard confirmed in a report that he desperately wants to leave Orlando. Firing the coach and the GM isn't enough for Superman, eh?
Are you sick of this headcase? First, he tells his team mates that he's "all in". Then he tells management to fire Van Gundy. The coach tells reporters that he knows Dwight told management to fire him.
A big primadonna that is not fit to wear the Man of Steel's cape!
He has no consideration of people's livelihoods.
Howard = the part of the NBA that needs to change.
A prime example of when you let the player run the team. He's destroying Orlando.
Orlando is destroying itself....They should've come to realization a long time ago that they were dealing with a retard....Orlando should be trading Dwight this off-season no matter what - whether he wants to stay or not...
That said, while it is no surprise that Dwight might want out, this report should be taken with a grain of salt...I'm skeptical on "sources" close to any player revealing the full truth...
