There was a few reasons Knicks didn't resign Lin, they WANTED too realistically and made it clear they were upset about the high offer Houston made
but Knicks have a recent history of overpaying for bums, (not that Lin is a bum) but the other factors as Carmelo and JR Smith mentioned, that his contract wouldn't have gone over well in the locker room which would have fcked with team chemistry.
It wasn't even the money imo, because they were gonna make way more money off Lin than what they were gonna pay him anyway. What I think must've been one of the main reasons is to not upset the Alpha young Black Male Superstars of your pro sports team, Melo & Stat.....
Stoudemire I can somewhat tolerate even though he always tries so hard to be cool, but Melo you can just tell he's an egocentric snakeheaded asshole, don't like him at all

That's why the Knicks will continue to suck....two me-first superstars don't make for a winning team...and it's funny that JR Smith, Melo, and Stat would have a problem with Lin's contract, considering he's done far more for the Knicks organization in just 2 weeks than all of them did combined for over a season...
tweets all over twitter right now saying "realgm" confirmed that D12 will sign with Lakers if traded to them... no idea how credible that is since it is howard we're talkin about

It's credible; Dwight is ready to join the Lakers.
just rumours, but Cleveland entering the mix, and might land Bynum
They've always been in the rumours w/ Lakers for the most part because Bynum has said he's interested in signing with the Cavs (along with the Mavs & Rockets) if he doesn't extend with the Lakers.
Who is Lin going to play with in Houston? I can't name any significant player besides Kevin Martin and rumor is he's on the trading block. They already amnestied Luis Scola and Goran Dragic signed with Phoenix.
