Cause if you look at the odds of the Lakers winning the Champ, Celtics and Spurs are the underdog~

I hope this is a joke as I don't know how these 2 teams can be underdogs..when they were the last 2 champs.

Ahhh I see.. do you know the odds right now? I am pretty sure that the celts aren't that much of a dog. as for the spurs, maybe a little more.

daval 02-28-2009 10:55 AM

lakers +200
celtics +225
cavs +450
spurs +900
magic +1000

That's gay ass shit. They could have had Rondo with one of their picks, instead they have Nash running the team for 35+ mins a season and tiring out at the playoffs.

that year when they had:
nash
johnson
Q richardson
marion
Amare

that was a killer team. SO stacked lol

Tell me why they didnt advance to the finals then?

Probably because they have no inside presence?
Shaq is still doing it for them....

I have a feeling Amare gon' opt out end of the year.

i would hardly call them underdogs.. contenders at the very least. the celts are still the stronger team imo, once garnett returns.

Inside presence or not, phx will never get to the finals as long the spurs are here. Phx rely solely on offense.
There game play : Fast breaks, and 7 secs or nothing/shaq rule.

So take the offensive away from phx, and they are nothing

goo3 03-01-2009 10:27 PM

Anyone else notice their defense, although still bad, is way better than previous years? I mean at least they try to play D, right :lol

hotjoint 03-02-2009 06:51 AM

damn lakers on a 2 game losing streak, can't believe pheonix beat them like that without nash and amarie. Shaq has been tearing it up lately

411ken 03-02-2009 08:25 AM

I don't care if the lakers go on a 2 game losing streak, that means they need to work on little things and they are good to go. And every team knows that once Bynum gets back into the mix, it will be a different story..

I'm glad to see Shaq playing well again, must be healthy again. and as for Amare, I could care less if I see him gone. He is such a hog and can't play D. Maybe he needs a tougher coach that will bring out the best of him. I do know that he will be great once he matures up.

411ken 03-02-2009 12:57 PM

Off topic: but does any of you know where I can find the Yellow/Gold or Purple Kobe jersey? I have the white but I can't find the others. also, do you know a place that sells authentic ones?

hotjoint 03-02-2009 01:02 PM

I've ebayed all my jerseys. Saved a ton and found some rare authentics and just got lucky that noone else bid on them :)

411ken 03-02-2009 02:26 PM

ya, I have most my jerseys from ebay too but I thought it would be nice to browse authentic stuff here haha... although i might end up spending more...!

Go Lakers! =)

Not really racist! 03-02-2009 03:06 PM

hopefuly lakers have that spark this year and bring it home

fuhkyu 03-04-2009 02:09 AM

Joe Smith signing wit the cavs and drew gooden signing with the spurs.
Shaq vs D12 was a good match up tonight, they both went at each other pretty hard. Good to see that Shaq can still throw it down.

411ken 03-04-2009 06:17 PM

Did any of you see Stan Van Gundy call out Shaq for trying to pull a flop on D12? He said something about being a man.... Shaq reacted and said Stan was a nobody to him and just a front runner (coaching only good teams).. stupid van gundy, shaq has never done it before everrr and did it once and calls him out? stupid i tell ya.

feelthesunrise 03-04-2009 08:00 PM

d12 is still just a kid and has much to learn from the real superman.

fuhkyu 03-04-2009 08:37 PM

shaq is 36 approaching 37 and puts up better numbers than almost every other center in the league. he truly is the real superman, i'd like to see D12 put up those kind of numbers in 14 years... not knocking D12 and his game, he is for sure the next dominant big man in the game but he still has a lot to learn.

hotjoint 03-05-2009 06:27 AM

yeah shaq has been ripping it up lately

bbbj 03-05-2009 03:35 PM

Sad to see that Phoenix isn't in the playoffs..

feelthesunrise 03-05-2009 04:00 PM

as of right now they aren't but they are only a game or two back of the mavs. if they can string together a couple of winning streaks, things could be very different.

rickross888 03-05-2009 09:19 PM

seeds 3-9 in the west are very interchangeable. a team that loses a few games can see themselves out of a playoff spot and if teams put up a winning streak they can go into or move up to a higher seed.

i think denver won't be able to hang on. NO and POR are going to take the 3rd and 4th seeds for homecourt along with LAL and SAS(safe bet that they'll hold on to the top 2 seeds in the west). the jazz i feel will be safe to hold out a spot in the playoffs. it will be between the nuggets, suns, rockets and mavs to fight for the final 3 spots in the west.

in the east, the bucks will probably slip up and lose the 8th spot which will be taken over by the bulls or the nets if they come up with a good run(i think the bulls will pull through).

hotjoint 03-09-2009 06:45 AM

it'll be interesting to see who makes the playoffs this year from #'s 4 - 8 in each conference

411ken 03-09-2009 07:07 AM

I hope Phoenix slips up to 8th. That way, it will be lakers vs. suns in the first round.. that would be sweet to watch...it will be tough for the suns but I can see the mavs having the best chance of having a losing slump that allows the suns to move up... we'll see...

also, Amare is out for the year, no matter if they make the playoffs.

hotjoint 03-10-2009 06:21 AM

damn lakers lost :(. detroit beat orlando :)
