If I was the second seeded team, would I want to play the team that just knocked off the 1st seeded team? Hell no....Sounds to me like that's creating a harder path for the second seed....
Playoffs are all about who is hot at the end of the year. If the 8th seed knocks off the 1st seed, chances are that they peaked at the right time and second seed probably does not want to face them...

I guess my mindset is different lol
If say last yrs playoffs. The bucks upset the heat. Knicks get by the 7th seed. If I were the Knicks, I'd rather face the bucks than the pacers who sits 3rd
But that's just my opinion.

The battle of LA was fun to watch, Lakers played a team game and Clippers looked lost. But DJ looked really good for the Clippers
