Rumor has it Houston attempts to get rondo again, dislike Houston but that would be a sick team.

411ken 07-15-2014 08:06 AM

I highly doubt Houston can trade for him at all.. I mean, who do they have that the Celtics would like? Beverley, T Jones?? I doubt Ainge would want those guys as they have Smart, Olynyk/Sullinger already... I would be very surprised if Houston can somehow pull this off lol

In other news.. I read Wade's new contract will likely be at 15million per year..

bballguy 07-15-2014 12:57 PM

It won't happen...As 411ken said, Houston has nothing to offer.

Here's some tidbitz:

Ricky Rubio reportedly wants a five-year, max extension from the Timberwolves.

Haslem has agreed to re-sign with the Heat with an expected annual salary of $2.7 million.
The deal will be for one or two years, and it represents a major sacrifice for Haslem since he opted out of a $4.6 million player option this summer. He's the ultimate team player and he'll likely retire with the Heat, whom he's played for since 2003.

Dirk has officially signed a three-year, $25 million deal to stay with the Mavs....that's $8.3-mill per year!!

Wolves and Dubs have reportedly resumed discussions about a trade centered around Kevin Love. Talks had stalled before due to Golden State's reluctance to include Klay Thompson in a deal, as well as Minnesota's reluctance to take on David Lee's remaining salary ($30.4 million over two years).

Dwyane Wade has finalized a multi-year contract with the Heat, which the AP is reporting as a two-year deal with a player option in the second year...he's expected to make $16-17-mill/yr.

Kris Humphries and the Wizards have agreed to a three-year, $13 million contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 3rd year will be a team option and it might turn into a sign-and-trade with the Celtics.

Obsideon 07-15-2014 05:48 PM

Wow Dirk took a HUGE paycut, from $22.7m to $8.3m  ...
Quote:

His average salary puts him in the company of Channing Frye and Trevor Ariza in terms of deals inked this offseason.
What a bargain lol ...

On the other side of the moon, Wade for $16m?!... lol Miami overpaying out the ass to stay relevant. If Wade inks that size contract then the Heat are done for the off-season with no more space to sign any more help.

I wonder what's going to happen with the Nets now. What's KG gonna do now that his last musketeer buddy is in DC?

Qmx323 07-16-2014 06:27 AM

Dirk's way of handling this is exactly how someone who's been with one team for their career should be handling this.

You wanna win, but you are in the twilight of your career. You need help. Help can't be brought in without cap space.

*cough* Kobe 2 Year / 48.5 Million.

Special K 07-16-2014 11:49 AM

Is Rondo going anywhere?

I'm surprised Wade agreed to a 2 year deal. I doubt his knees will get any better over the next year or two, his value is only going to diminish.

Kudos to Pat Riley for only singing him to a short contract.

The salary cap is at $63-mill right now....It's projected to raise to $80-mill when Wade becomes a FA...I'm sure he'll get paid...

Obsideon 07-16-2014 10:32 PM

Lance Stephenson to Hornets

Ouch, the Central division just got a heck of a lot stronger and Indiana loses their 2nd best player.

If anyone watches Grantland.. Jalen Rose calls these deals the *wink*wink* deals. These guys will be taken care of by their billionaire owners once their playing days are done. I wonder how much of this is true.

Obsideon 07-16-2014 11:16 PM

But then again Dallas has already shelled out over $200,000,000 during Dirk's career.

bballguy 07-17-2014 01:51 PM

Lakers win bid for da b00zeman

Alpine50 07-17-2014 10:25 PM

My friend said the same thing about dirk. Cuban probably hooking him up on the side. I'm loving the fact lakers ain't got no big name yet lol everyone always says (well laker fans) everyone wants to play for us.... Apparently not haha hopefully love turns them down too

Well It's also possible that the heat wanted a shorter term if wade wanted to get paid. I personally don't think he will make 20+ anymore doesn't matter if the cap goes up in a couple years. I only see Lebron as the only one that could take advantage of the cap raise.

411ken 07-18-2014 10:35 AM

Love being pursued by the cavs again and are NOW willing to include Wiggins. The warriors seems to be open to trading. Klay Thompson for love now as well. Good attempt at trying to bluff the twoves tho lol..

I'd rather take Wiggins if I were the wolves and build around rubio,Wiggins, pek, dieng. Yes dieng lol he's been impressive

Actually that was yesterday....today reports have come out that the Cavs are not willing to include Wiggins, and there's rumours that report from yesterday saying that the Cavs were willing to include Wiggins was brought up by the Wolves camp in an attempt to get the Dubs to include Klay....It's getting ridiculous, really...

Wade is still among one of the best players in the league and Miami had NOBODY left for them to sign....Do you really think Miami had greater leverage on this situation than Wade?....If Wade wanted a longer term, I say there is no question that he could've gotten it.

bballguy 07-18-2014 12:55 PM

& now I'm seeing reports that Wiggins is included....fuck this shit, I give up.

Bender Unit 07-18-2014 01:16 PM

& now reports said Wiggins & Bennett & next year 1st round pick :troll:

Go Miami North ~

Alpine50 07-18-2014 09:17 PM

^^^yup but the wolves want more LOL what a joke.....

Sir_Loin 07-18-2014 09:29 PM

Wolves are just pitting the Warriors and Cavs to up the price for Love, which is smart until it backfires and either one or both teams pull out and or Love demands to only go to 1 team over the other.

Obsideon 07-18-2014 10:06 PM

This is turning into a Luongo escapade lol ... I think the Wolves are playing with too much fire and are going to get burned. It's no secret Love wants out. He will not re-sign with them. So shouldn't Minny jump on any decent deal that comes their way instead of losing him for nothing when his contract expires? The longer this drags on the worse it is for Minnesota. Sounds like they are getting too greedy and end up with nothing.

Unless... of course it's all bluffs, if Cavs really offered Wiggins, Bennett + 1st the Wolves should have taken it and ran.

Bennett is looking really good at summer camp right now.

Irving, Waiters, LeBron, Thompson, Varejao
Bennett swap in with Thompson
Wiggins to rotate in at the 2 and 3
Mike Miller instant offense.
If they pick up Ray Allen he would make the 2nd unit pretty threatening.

Irving, Wiggins, Lebron, Thompson, Varejao
Waiters, Jesus, Miller, Bennett, Haywood.
:notbad:

Obsideon 07-18-2014 10:13 PM

I know the Cavs are missing a big man, Love would be a huge upgrade over injury-prone Varejao and would make a great floor spacer, but is giving up Wiggins worth it? Might come back and bite them in the ass in 2-3 years.
Especially Love can opt-out after this season, I don't understand how T'Wolves have so much leverage to ask for so much. :fulloffuck:

Bender Unit 07-18-2014 11:12 PM

Cavs. willl look for sign and trade to lock up Love right a way.

Wiggins, Bennett, 2015 1st round pick is a better deal than Warriors' Lee...etc

411ken 07-19-2014 08:04 AM

Lebron will probably win the mvp this season and the GM of the year if they are able to land love lol.

I'm not sure if it was all a game but Wiggins and Bennett didn't play last night. To probably avoid any injury and what not. Ppl might say it was because it was the last game etc but all the other top rookies played yesterday .

Love also said he wud opt in for the final year if he gets traded to warriors. While he said he will sign an extension if dealt to cavs.
