Love remains adamant that he won't sign an extension. I've said this a million times... this is a bad trade for Cavs. I could see Love considering re-signing if the Cavs win the championship, but his heart is in LA. I have no doubt there is some sort of agreement between LeBron and the Cavs in place to gear the roster toward "win-now" mode. Even if they keep Wiggins, there is no guaranteed that they would win anything in the future. They had young LeBron for 7 years and didn't have much to show for it other than regular season record. On paper, they have a better chance to win with Love now than with Wiggins. Not that any deal/verbal agreement has been confirmed or it would have already been "leaked" to ESPN. |

IF wiggins is included in this deal.. my take on that is the Bulls really did a good job making the Cavs up their offer.. The bulls offered up Gibson/Mirotic/McDermott for Love which I'm pretty sure the Cavs cannot beat if Wiggins isn't included (I don't think Waiters/Bennett offer would be enough). That's why the Bulls backed out as news came out that they have now included Wiggins... Also, I'm pretty sure the Cavs wants to win now and let's be honest, they ain't winning the finals (IF they get there) with that roster IMO. If they do get love, then they have him for 15mill this season and he COULD opt in for 16 million the following year (which is likely if they go deep this season) or sign anyways.. we shall wait and see. Edit: if they do get Love.... Irving/Waiters/James/TT/Varejao then Jones/Miller/Haywood/Marion (looks like he's leaning towards the Cavs).. If they can get rayray that would be good for them too edit: looks like the deal is done but gotta wait til wiggins can be traded |
