Houston, we have a problem. CP3 is demanding trade. 
The reports out of Houston are that the relationship between Harden and CP3 is "unsalvageable".
The Beard gave Rockets management an ultimatum: 'Him or Me". https://www.nba.com/article/2019/06/...harden-rockets
CP3's salary makes it hard to trade him to another team for a decent turn. Other team's GMs would lowball Houston and ask for some salary retention too.
This NBA offseason just got even more interesting.

I also feel it was way too much for AD when they could have waited to sign him for free, but the ghost of Paul George is still fresh in their memory and they panicked. Wasn't he a "lock" to sign in LA after his 1 season in OKC?
The Lakers have been all the rage since the season ended, LeGM working overtime. Now they are zeroing in on a floor general. Kemba? Kyrie? Maybe even try to make a deal work for CP3?

Pelicans and Hawks trade picks before the start of the draft. Pelicans trade their fourth overall pick (acquired from the Lakers in the Anthony Davis trade) to Atlanta.
The Hawks trade away draft picks 8, 17, and 35 in the first round of the draft.
