Wow! |
Curry caught fire tonight. |
"Curry and Draymond combined for an incredible 63 points tonight" :lawl: |
The Official NBA thread Tough losses for the Raptors. One point losses to the Warriors and Trailblazers. Siakam with his first career triple double in a loss to Portland. Keep grinding away, Toronto! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
^This season should be a write off for them IMHO. Great season to tank, it's a short season, they're stuck in Tampa anyways. Tank for some decent draft picks, and we've in a great spot cap wise for future signings. |
Multiple positives in the latest round of Covid testing, Kyrie out partying maskless with his sister. It's gonna be a rough season. Betting has been really tough this season, plenty of upsets and you never know who's going to sit out right until tip-off. |
The Official NBA thread Blockbuster trade for Houston. Harden is gone. The Beard plays with KD again and with Kyrie. Shams Charania @ShamsCharania Sources: Full current trade: Rockets: Victor Oladipo, Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, 3 BKN first-rounders (22, 24, 26), 1 MIL first (22, unprotected), 4 BKN 1st round swaps (21, 23, 25, 27) Nets: James Harden Pacers: Caris LeVert, 2nd-rounder Cavs: Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Starting line-up: KD, Kyrie, Harden, Deandre Jordan Now they just need to trade Kyrie for Russ and the OKC trio is back together. :lol |
Lots of knee-jerk reactions to the trade "zOMG I'm putting down my mortgage on the Nets championship!" ... personally I'm not sold on it. They have 3 offensive dynamo's but outside of Durant's iffy achilles and DeAndre's 100 year old knees they have non-existent defense. Joe Harris should be the 5th starter which doesn't inspire confidence. He's a spot-up shooter that will get plenty of open looks but also a seive on D. The Cavs actually low-key won the trade of the day, they dumped bum Exum and a 2nd rounder for the more underrated player in the transaction, Jarrett Allen. Yes they have a logjam with bigs but they can still dangle Drummond's expiring contract and somehow swap Kevin Love for a decent wing. Young core of SexLand + Allen For Houston it's addition by subtraction, good on Boogie for sticking up for his team mates and calling out Harden, he was a huge distraction diva. Oladipo wanted out of Indy anyway and this could actually work with Wall who has actually been playing much better than I expected after 2 years on the shelf. Wall - Oladipo - Tucker/Gordon - Wood - Cousins is a decent unit. A great trade for a disgruntled player that the world knew wanted out. That's not even including the haul of picks they got from Nets for the next 7 years. The Nets will only be good for the next 2-3 years max. Years 4-7 is going to be a reoccurance of the Nets/Celtics trade all over again. Successive top 10 picks for Houston. |
That is an INSANE trade. So much for Oladipo coming over to Toronto :lol It's so funny, whenever the media talks about Toronto being in the running for some type of big free agent, it literally NEVER happens :lol I thought with Drake, and Toronto becoming more of a known city in the Hip Hop/Urban community, athletes come up here to party and such, that players would want to come here. Apparently not. |
Nobody wants to play for the Tampa Bay Raptors. |

OKC East None of those guys can carry a team in PlayOff Yes, I am a KD Hater |
I can't remember the last time a marquee free agent in his prime actually signed with the Raptors. It's basically where all the has-been stars go for their final paycheque. The retirement home of the NBA lol ... I almost forgot Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon was once a Raptor ... his dream shake was more like a dream wiggle at that point. |
I think Raptors also had Marion, Turkoglu? A quick google suggests that the BEST free agent signing the Raptors ever had was Jose Calderon ... that kinda says a lot already lol |
wasn't antonio davis' reason for leaving b/c his wife didn't like the shopping malls here? :lol |
The Official NBA thread The Cavs beat the Nets in double OT. Collin Sexton scored 20 straight points in OT to beat the big three of Brooklyn. 42 points for Sexton in that game. The guy’s game was fire!! Wow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Told you the Brooklyn defense was gonna be bad lol... when you backcourt is 2 turnstiles Harden and Kyrie all opposing guards with any skill are gonna light them up. Not to mention their only rim protection is DJ's creaky knees. |
Nothing more that I would like to see than for Brooklyn Nets to fail ... like lose in 1st round kind of fail. |
Dame makes another clutch basket to win a game again. Buzzer beater! Lillard! Wow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
LMAO what a finish. Currently the Nets have the best offensive rating of all-time and the worst defensive rating of all-time. I guess that's what happens when you have the coaching mentality of Steve Nash and D'Antoni with players like Kyrie/Harden/Joe harris starting. You can't expect Durant to guard 4 players on a repaired achilles... |
Van Vleet gets the Raptors franchise record for most points in a game with 54 tonight in a win against the Magic. Steady Freddy goes beast mode! He also sets a new NBA record for most points by an undrafted player. He surpasses the previous record of 53 points that Moses Malone scored in a game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Demar DeRozan held the record up until now at 52 pts. Class act. |
A fourth straight win for the Raptors! Good game against the 76ers. Chris Boucher played lights out tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
^Pretty crazy stat that the Raps have been undefeated when Kyle Lowry is out. Me thinks he'll be traded for some value before trade deadline. |
Canadian Jamal Murray went full on NBA 2k mode with a 21 for 25 FG performance and zero free throws. That is crazy impressive efficiency, especially when you consider it's not all dunks or put-backs like DeAndre Jordan. |
