Huge respect to the Nuggets. Especially Murray coming back from potentially career ending injury. They don't get enough respect, now people should put some damn respect to these guys. Not sure what Butler was thinking jacking up the 3 ball on the final potential game tying possession, he ain't Curry or Kobe LOL.

Wish Lisa Salters interviewed Aaron Gordon. He was the third best Nugget in the playoffs.

Nuggets dominated and well deserved title.

What also is impressive about Jokic is his humble attitude and display of sportsmanship.

Jokic put respect for an opponent and sportsmanship as a first priority by shaking hands with Jimmy Butler, Adebayo, Coach Spoelstra, and several Heat players before celebrating a championship win and his Finals MVP trophy with his team mates.

WOW. That is a great attitude for a champion. Kids watching Jokic play the basketball got a valuable lesson in sportsmanship and playing the game with the right attitude.

Props to Joker for showing class.

Nobody could fault Jokic for celebrating wild like a madman for winning a NBA championship and a Finals MVP trophy. He decided to put sportsmanship and respect for an opponent first before a celebration.

I don't think anyone doubted how good the Nuggets could be. It was always down to whether Murray can stay healthy enough to last the stretch. If questioning this is a form of disrespect, then you have a lot of disrespected superstars in this league. Most of them play 60 regular season games if you're lucky.

Bradley Beal plays for the Suns in exchange for CP3 and Landry Shamet going to the Wizards:

The Washington Wizards and Phoenix Suns have agreed to a blockbuster trade that will send Bradley Beal to Phoenix, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN (Twitter links).

According to Wojnarowski and Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link), the Wizards are expected to receive Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, multiple second-round picks and multiple pick swaps in the trade. It will likely take a few days for the deal to be officially finalized, Woj adds.

The trading frenzy continues. The Wizards are clearly in sell mode now with their new front office staff.

Three team trade rumour.

Sources: Wizards, Celtics and Clippers are in strong talks on a trade that would send Kristaps Porzingis to Boston, Marcus Morris and draft compensation to Washington and Malcolm Brogdon to Los Angeles. Sides are still working through details and Porzingis’ $36M player option.

Woe .. this is kinda big ... Jordan Poole for Chris Paul. So Paul goes to the Warriors ... interesting ... wonder how he will gel with the core there.

Old news, but weird trade, I don't see how he fits in with the Warriors.

Washington pulled a wicked trade, they robbed the Warriors

^ there begins the downfall of the LA Lakers ... actually, it's already started.

Stupid stupid deal on a declining player, still paying him for the one championship ring in Covid 2020.

Wow, a three team trade for Damian Lillard!

Dame Dolla plays for the Bucks now.

Lillard goes Milwaukee as part of a 3-team deal with Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, a 2029 unprotected MIL 1st, and unprotected MIL swap rights in 2028 and 2030 to Blazers. Phoenix lands Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson.

Adrian Wojnarowski
@wojespn
BREAKING: The Portland Trail Blazers are trading guard Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, sources tell ESPN.

That's a wild trade.

Portland wins this trade IMHO, they ended up getting a ton of good pieces.

Bucks come 2nd, Suns...not so much.

500K for each player on the winning team and a chance to lift up a trophy called the "NBA Cup".

Heck, if LeBron told reporters after the game that he took a charge in the semifinal game vs. Pelicans on Thursday night for 500 grand, then the game means something to some players. Even LBJ.

Some of the those players would be going Wild 'n Out in Vegas with their prize money.

Who can argue LeBron vs Jordan as the GOAT at this point?

Not even close IMHO.

LeBron might hang around long enough to play with his son ... super rare. Has that happen before in any pro sports - NHL, NFL (certainly not), MLB, NBA? Gordie Howe maybe?
